Meet Rachel Swets, COO and Co-Founder of Lanturn

When she is not wearing a dozen different hats at work or being a mom, Rachel channels her love for organization into cabinets, closets, and drawers. Any system will do!

Rachel co-founded Lanturn with her husband out of a deep personal realization: while addiction recovery usually focuses on the individual, families carry the weight, confusion, and heartbreak too. Lanturn exists to support those families so no one has to navigate the journey alone.

Growing a grassroots nonprofit to fill such a critical gap takes immense heart and endurance. Rachel brings an honest perspective to the reality of small-shop fundraising, knowing that finding donors driven by genuine passion rather than quick metrics takes time and care.

For Rachel, community is what fuels the journey. Being surrounded by peers who understand the work reminds her that if you stay focused on authentic relationships, the support will follow.

We are so grateful to have Rachel as part of The Fundraisers Collective community!

Proximity matters, and you shouldn't have to carry the weight of leading a mission alone.
