Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan is a Grand Rapids plastic surgery center that combines the skill of 3 plastic surgeons to achieve beautiful enhancement for face, body, and breast. Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan was established by the visionary plastic surgeon Dr. Dennis Hammond, who founded the practice on a philosophy of excellence, safety, and beautiful results. The pr

actice underwent a name change from The Center for Breast & Body Contouring to Partners in Plastic Surgery of West Michigan as the practice expanded and incorporated the skills of another highly-qualified and dedicated plastic surgeon in Michigan, Dr. Andrea Van Pelt, whose specialties helped expand the variety of procedures offered to meet patient needs. With the retirement of Dr. Andrea Van Pelt in 2023, Dr. Terri Zomerlei and Dr. Lauren Sall have joined the practice. They specialize in procedures such as breast reduction (including the SPAIR technique), breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, arm lifts, breast lifts, buccal fat removal, gynecomastia, labiaplasty, panniculectomy, liposuction, fat grafting, body lifts, thigh lifts, split earlobe repairs, and removal of general skin lesions. Nonsurgical options include BOTOX®, Dysport®, Restylane dermal fillers, Kybella, dermaplaning, and micropeels at our skin care center. The staff and surgeons are dedicated to providing individualized care with a unique mix of experience, state-of-the-art technology, and enhanced patient comfort and safety.

When you’re thinking about making a change, it’s easy to focus on what can be added or adjusted.

What has a greater impact is how that change fits with everything that is already there.

Each feature influences the others. Even small differences in volume, position, or proportion can shift the overall balance in a way that either integrates naturally or starts to feel slightly out of place.

Because of that, the approach is not based on how much can be done, but on identifying the point where the adjustment is enough.

Going beyond that point doesn’t improve the result. It often starts to reduce consistency between your features.

A more controlled approach allows the result to settle in a way that continues to feel right over time, not just immediately after the treatment.

If you’re considering a change, understanding how much adjustment is actually needed can make the outcome feel more balanced and easier to maintain.
