April is National Counseling/Psychology Awareness Month! This month we celebrate these 3 clinicians who play such a vital role on the CCW team. Their steady presence, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care show up in so many ways - workshops, groups, individual sessions, cross-campus partnerships, and so much more! We're so grateful for you, Mindy, Joe, and Cal!

🌱 Spring is a great time to think about offering your mental health a *boost* to propel you through the end of the semester!

🧠 Now offering 3 separate workshop opportunities, the CCW invites you to sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 sessions (in any order!) to learn more about coping skills and strategies, the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to develop your own mental health care plan.

🗓️ Workshops are offered on most Mondays (4:00-5:15pm), Tuesdays (12:30-1:45pm), and Thursdays (4:00-5:15pm) for the remainder of the semester. Sign up using the link in our bio!

After 17 years of humble and dedicated service, the Center for Counseling and Wellness and bid farewell to Dr. Irene Kraegel this week as she leans into the good work God has called her to in a new season.

Irene began as a counselor (of the then "Broene Counseling Center"), before assuming a role as the Interim Director of the CCW. Then, in 2016 she became the full-time director and has since led the CCW with intentionality, navigating a name-change, adapting a new model for services, developing sound policies and procedures, creating the .sab, and perhaps most importantly, providing care and wise counsel to the Calvin community at large.

The CCW staff (and so many members of the Calvin community) will miss her deeply! Thank you, Irene, for your consistent and professional presence among us for the past 17 years. We wish you God's richest blessings as you go forth from this place.
