If your adolescent is struggling, don’t wait to get support.

Branches Grand Rapids, a service of Forest View, offers Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs designed to provide the structure, guidance and therapeutic care teens need to move forward. Our PHP and IOP services may help adolescents:
-Manage emotions more effectively
-Learn healthy coping strategies
-Build confidence and resilience
-Receive structured, age-appropriate care
-Work toward meaningful progress and healing

Early support can make a difference. If you think your teen may benefit from PHP or IOP, call 616-942-9610 today to learn more.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma and remind our community that help and hope are always available.

The impact of su***de on adolescents is deeply concerning. According to the CDC and NIMH, su***de is the 2nd leading cause of death for people ages 10–34 in the U.S. In 2023, about 1 in 5 high school students seriously considered attempting su***de in the past year. These alarming numbers are a reminder of how important it is to check in, speak up and support one another.

At Forest View, we are committed to providing compassionate care and support for adolescents and families facing mental health challenges. No one should have to struggle alone.

If you or someone you love needs help, reach out by calling 616-942-9610.

This week’s Trauma-Informed Care Principle is: Practice Grounding.

Grounding is a simple practice that helps bring you out of your head and back into your body by connecting with one or more of your senses. It can be a helpful tool to calm the mind, reduce stress, and stay present in the moment.

Try the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise:
Name 5 things you see
Name 4 things you feel
Name 3 things you hear
Name 2 things you smell
Name 1 thing you taste

Taking a moment to ground yourself can make a big difference. Pause, breathe and reconnect with the present.
