💛 You don't have to choose just one emotion.

One of the greatest myths we believe is that we should only feel one thing at a time.

But healing often looks like holding two truths at once.

You can...
🤍 Feel anxious and excited.
🤍 Feel grateful and disappointed.
🤍 Feel confident and still have moments of self-doubt.
🤍 Feel nervous and continue moving forward.
🤍 Feel sad and still have hope.
🤍 Feel overwhelmed and still be capable.
🤍 Need support and remain strong and independent.

God created us as emotional beings, and throughout Scripture we see people experiencing joy and sorrow, fear and courage, grief and hope—sometimes all in the same moment.

Even Jesus experienced deep sorrow in the Garden of Gethsemane while remaining fully committed to the Father's purpose.

"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." – Romans 12:15

You don't have to suppress your emotions to be faithful.
You don't have to pretend everything is okay to trust God.
And you don't have to have every feeling figured out before taking your next step.

We want to help people make sense of complex emotions without shame. Together, we can learn to process your feelings, understand what they're communicating, and move toward healing with wisdom, grace, and hope.

Your emotions aren't your enemy—they're invitations to deeper understanding and growth.

🤍 You can hold more than one emotion.
🤍 You can still move forward.
🤍 And you don't have to do it alone.

🧠 Do you ever feel like your brain just won't stop?

If you're constantly replaying conversations, overthinking decisions, or struggling to quiet your mind, you're not alone.

For many individuals with ADHD, rumination isn't just "overthinking"—it's feeling stuck in a loop of thoughts that can make it difficult to focus, move forward, or find peace.

The good news? There is hope, and there are tools that can help. 💚

Grounding techniques, challenging unhelpful thoughts, practicing self-compassion, and learning how your brain works are all powerful steps toward breaking the cycle. Therapy can help you develop practical strategies that work for your unique brain.

And if you've always wondered...

❓"Is this ADHD?"
❓"Why is my brain always racing?"
❓"Have I been coping with ADHD without realizing it?"

A comprehensive ADHD evaluation can provide the clarity you've been looking for.

At Centennial Park Counseling, Dr. Andrew Wichterman offers thorough ADHD assessments for children, teens, and adults. Our comprehensive evaluations go beyond simple questionnaires to help distinguish ADHD from other concerns such as anxiety, trauma, learning differences, or mood disorders. You'll receive personalized recommendations and clear next steps to help you move forward with confidence.

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace." – 1 Corinthians 14:33

Whether you're seeking answers, practical coping skills, or support on your journey, we're here to help.

Motivation doesn't always come first. Sometimes, the first step creates the motivation. 🌱

We often wait until we "feel like it" before taking action. But one of the most powerful principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is that small, intentional actions can change both our thoughts and our emotions.

Instead of asking, "How do I get motivated?" try asking:

✨ What's one small step I can take today?
✨ Is fear or perfectionism keeping me stuck?
✨ How will I feel once I've finished?
✨ How does this align with what matters most to me?
✨ How can I celebrate progress—not perfection?

As Christians, we're reminded that faithfulness often begins with small steps of obedience.

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." – Zechariah 4:10

Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, burnout, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to tackle everything at once. Healing isn't about giant leaps—it's about consistently taking the next right step.

We would love to walk along side you and help you develop practical tools, grounded in evidence-based therapy and rooted in biblical truth, to move from feeling overwhelmed to living with purpose and hope.

Small steps.
Steady progress.
Real healing.

Strong relationships aren't built because couples never face challenges—they're built because they learn how to face challenges together.

Resilient couples understand that lasting love isn't about perfection. It's about choosing each other, communicating with kindness, and continuing to grow through every season of life.

Here are a few habits that help relationships thrive:

🤍 Lead with curiosity instead of criticism.
🤍 Stay connected through the small, everyday moments.
🤍 Celebrate each other's successes, not just support each other through struggles.
🤍 Practice empathy, especially when you don't fully understand your partner's perspective.
🤍 Focus on solutions instead of staying stuck in problems.
🤍 Hold onto hope—even difficult seasons don't have to define your relationship.

Every relationship experiences conflict. The difference isn't whether disagreements happen—it's how couples respond to them.

If you feel like you're having the same arguments over and over, struggling to communicate, or simply want to strengthen your relationship, couples counseling can provide the tools, perspective, and support to help you reconnect.

"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." — 1 Peter 4:8

We're honored to help couples build healthier communication, restore trust, and create stronger, more connected relationships. ❤️

Recovery isn't about having more willpower. It's about finding healing where the hurt began. 🤍

Many people think addiction is simply a lack of self-control. But often, addiction begins as an attempt to cope with pain, trauma, loneliness, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions.

The behavior isn't the root—it's the symptom.

True healing happens when we compassionately explore the need the addiction has been trying to meet and discover healthier, life-giving ways to find comfort, connection, and peace.

As Christians, we know that God doesn't just ask us to stop destructive behaviors—He invites us into transformation.

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." – John 8:36

Freedom isn't found through shame. It's found through grace.
Healing isn't about perfection. It's about taking one faithful step at a time.

We are honored to walk alongside individuals and families impacted by addiction with compassion, evidence-based care, and the hope found in Christ. No matter where your journey begins, healing is possible.

There is hope.
There is freedom.
There is a path forward.

Bullying isn't always physical—and it isn't always obvious.

Sometimes it looks like repeated teasing. Sometimes it's exclusion, gossip, embarrassment, or making someone feel like they don't belong.

Teaching children to recognize bullying isn't about making them afraid—it's about helping them build empathy, courage, and confidence to stand up for themselves and others.

💙 Help your child understand that bullying can include:
• Excluding someone on purpose.
• Repeatedly making fun of someone's appearance, interests, or abilities.
• Spreading rumors or sharing hurtful messages online.
• Calling someone names or constantly putting them down.
• Encouraging others to leave someone out.
• Joking about things a person can't change about themselves.

Just as important, teach them what kindness looks like:
🤍 Invite someone to join the group.
🤍 Speak up when someone is being treated unfairly.
🤍 Celebrate differences instead of criticizing them.
🤍 Be the friend who includes, encourages, and protects others.

Children learn how to treat people by watching the adults in their lives. Every conversation about compassion, respect, and empathy helps shape the kind of community we all want our children to grow up in.

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." — Ephesians 4:32

If your child is struggling with bullying—whether they're experiencing it, participating in it, or navigating the emotional impact afterward—our therapists are here to help them build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills.

The longest relationship you'll ever have is the one you have with yourself. 🤍

Spending time alone isn't selfish—it can be one of the healthiest ways to recharge, reflect, and reconnect with who you are.

Whether you have an hour or an entire afternoon, consider taking yourself on a "solo date."

✨ Sip your favorite coffee while reading a good book.
🌿 Take a peaceful walk in nature.
📖 Browse a local bookstore.
🎨 Get creative with art or photography.
📝 Journal your thoughts and dreams.
🍽️ Try a new restaurant or cook yourself a favorite meal.
🎧 Listen to music that lifts your spirit.
🌅 Watch the sunset without distractions.

Learning to enjoy your own company builds confidence, reduces stress, and reminds you that your worth isn't dependent on your productivity or the people around you.

If spending time alone feels uncomfortable, lonely, or overwhelming, therapy can help you explore the reasons why and develop a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

We believe healing includes learning to care for yourself with the same kindness and grace you so freely offer others. 💚
