Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Meyers, Sr. Obituary
Mr. William Thomas “Tommy” Meyers, Sr., 74, of Windsor, SC, beloved husband of thirty-seven years to Tonya Ryals Meyers, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he is the son of the late Albert Leo Meyers and Virginia Farmer Meyers.

He is the proud father of his son, William “Willie” Thomas Meyers, Jr., and his daughter, Ashlynn Leigh Cates. He also loved their spouses, his daughter-in-law, Libby, and his son-in-law, Matthew, dearly.

For many years, Tommy worked in the construction industry and cablevision until a work accident forced him into early retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, grilling, and eating good food — especially crab legs. Rarely was he seen without a Mountain Dew in his hand.

Most of his days were spent riding the roads with his brother and best friend, Pedro Meyers. Family was very important to him. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren: Samuel, Olivia, and Marcus Meyers, and Sullivan, Oliver, Crew, and Sloane Cates. They were each so special to him.

Of all the names he answered to, Ommi was one of his favorite. It was a special name given to him by two boys that grew up as close as family — Dalton and Colby Campbell. He loved them as his own children.

Tommy is loved and will be deeply missed by his devoted wife — with whom he shared forty-five years of life and love — his children, and grandchildren, as well as extended family members and many friends.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 1 o’clock at the New Hope Gospel Chapel, Beech Island, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 o’clock at the church. Brother Rob Still will officiate. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, SC. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Willie Meyers, Samuel Meyers, David Kaney, Jr., Tracy Miles, Burl Boatwright, and Gary Boatwright.

Mrs. Randy Janelle Armstrong, 79, of North Augusta, SC, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rock Hill, SC, Randy was the daughter of Howard and Ethel Smith. She grew up in Rock Hill and later made North Augusta her home for nearly 60 years. A true, spunky redhead, Randy met every challenge with determination and spirit. She lived life with curiosity, courage, and a readiness for adventure.

Throughout her life, Randy embraced the outdoors and loved learning new things. She enjoyed cooking (and was a great cook), water skiing, boating (and could back a boat trailer better than any man), fishing, camping, and dirtbike riding. She spent many years supporting her children’s soccer teams as the beloved “Team Mom,” and she took great pride in the accomplishments of her son and grandson on the soccer field.

Later in life, Randy treasured the hours spent riding the roads with Ronnie on their Harley. The friendships and good times from those years were among her fondest memories, and she reminisced about them often.

Randy was happily married for just over 62 years to the love of her life, Ronald Joe Armstrong. Together they built a family grounded in resourcefulness, strength, and unconditional love.

She is survived by their three children: Beverly Armstrong, Suzy Armstrong (Michelle), and Brent Armstrong (Kim); five grandchildren: Janelle Miskelly (Ben), Emma Welker (Casey), Molly Armstrong, Miles Armstrong, and Maddie Armstrong; and three greatgrandchildren: Harper Miskelly, Amelia Miskelly, and Naomi Miskelly.

Randy’s ability to “figure things out” was the foundation of her family. She knew what she wanted and always found a way to make it happen. Her laugh and sarcastic sense of humor were contagious. She never met a stranger and welcomed every stray animal that crossed her path. Her love for animals was deep, and she cared for many, many beloved pets throughout her life.

Cremation has been performed by Hatcher Funeral Home, and the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date, in accordance with Randy’s wishes.

Randy will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished in our hearts forever.

Mr. Nicholas "Nick" Marino, 40, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. He was a well-loved and caring man who put his family first.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration on Saturday, October 10, 2026, beginning at 5 PM at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, South Carolina 29829, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel with Mr. Mike Bledsoe officiating.

Nick was born in Milford, Connecticut, on April 7, 1986. He was a hard worker, and as an HVAC technician he took pride in keeping other people's homes and business comfortable.

Nick's faith was part of his life, and he attended Our Lady of the Valley. He loved to travel and see new places, and he was happiest at the beach, in a park, or out exploring somewhere he'd never been. Wherever he went, he made the people around him feel cared for.

Left to cherish Nick’s memory are his children, Kaison Marino, Emory Marino, and Royce Marino; his stepson, Adonis; his parents, Patrick and Miriam Richmond, and his brother, Harley Richmond. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Jaimie Marino, II.

Mrs. Debra Weathersbee Doolittle, 69, of Beech Island, S.C., passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Anyone who met her left a little happier for it.

Born in Aiken, S.C., Debra was the daughter of the late Carnell Weathersbee and Betty Virginia McCoy Weathersbee.

Her faith was the steady center of her life, and she was a founding member of Broken Outreach Ministries in Hephzibah, where her church family became her own. At Walmart, she was the friendly face customers looked for and the associate who made a quick errand feel like a visit.

Debra filled her days with the things that gave her joy. She crocheted, sang every chance she got, karaoke included, and loved escaping to the mountains. Cades Cove and Maggie Valley, with its Ghost Town, were among her favorite places, and the familys 2025 mountain trip is a memory they will treasure. But nothing made her happier than time with her granddaughters.

She leaves behind her sons, David Lee Moore Jr. (Monica) of Blythe, Ga., and Jason Moore (Allison); her stepchildren, Carman Benson (Matt) and Chris Doolittle (Michelle); her fiancé, David Baker; her sisters, Gina Randall (Jerry) and Glenda Goodwin (Bill); her two granddaughters, Trinity Leigh Moore and Alaina Faith Moore, the lights of her life; and many others she loved like her own.

She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Alicia Marshall, and her brother, Glen Weathersbee.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, South Carolina 29829. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Mr. Kenny Lamb officiating.

Crysalynn Rhiver Adams (Crystal Lynn Adams), Her Chippewa(Ojibwe) name given to her by Chief Gene McGowan is "Woman of the Stars", 43, of Austin Texas, passed away on 08/21/2026. She resided in Trenton North Dakota, near her mother. Her final resting place will be in Graniteville, South Carolina, near her children.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held of Saturday, October 3, 2026 beginning at 10 o'clock in the morning at Hatcher Funeral Home, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, South Carolina.

Crysalynn was born in Austin Texas to Lisa Poitra, and Daniel Adams on December 8th, 1982. School in England began near RAF Upwood (Royal Air Force), for her first four years. She then continued her education in the Clearwater Elementary School of South Carolina. Following this, her education took her to LBC Middle School, Midland Valley High School, and lastly to Aiken School of Cosmetology- which she graduated from in 2010. She has worked as a Preschool Teacher for a short time, and a Cosmetologist for many years. She was currently working at the Grand Treasure Casino in Trenton, ND where she met many people close to her heart.

Crysalynn was an enrolled member of The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa (Ojibwe) Indians from Belcourt, North Dakota. She had been reconnecting with her indigenous roots, including- the language, foods, ceremony’s, spirituality and the deep-rooted heritage she comes from. Crysalynn had a big passion for Cosmetology, and helping people feel beautiful. She was known for many things; however, she was most known for building people up, and being their personal cheerleader. She was never afraid to try new things, including every unique hair style, and color. She never left the house without confidence, bold looks, and love in her heart. Crysalynn practiced and had a passion in paganism for many years. She had many hobbies such as, watching Anime, specifically Studio Ghibli movies, playing Videogames, DND, Painting, Crafting, Reading, and Cooking. But most of all- Crysalynn loved her kids, family, and friends, making as many memories as she could with them.

Some of her most notorious quotes were: “Meepin”, “My favorite flower is flower” and “It’s hard out here for a nugget”.

Crysalynn is survived by her mother, Lisa Poitra; her children, Jonathan Adams (Kat), Cathryn Blair Elizabeth Miller, Jackson Miller, Christian Cook, and Robert Galindo; her grandchildren, Daemon Rose Adams and Xenova Victoria Adams; Siblings, Dana Adams, Christopher Adams, and Nokomis Poitra; nieces, Chloe Willing, Izzabel Willing, Skylar Willing, Emma Adams, and Ashlyn Adams; aunts and uncles, Karen Poitra, Michelle Poitra, Steven Poitra, Joe Poitra, Beth Poitra, Ernest Poitra, Lori Poitra, Terri Etzel, Jim Etzel, Vanessa Droll, David Droll, Andre Poitra, Jacqueline Poitra, Hope Poitra, Jacques Poitra, June Chen, William Adams, Mary Adams, Laura Byrd, Lainey Byrd, and Lisa Byrd; extended family, Mary Kay Gomez, Hannah McCullough, Chase McCullough, Kamden Farmer, and Carson Wheelis, along with numerous family members she loved and cherished.

Mrs. Betty Elliott Tullis, 76, of McCormick, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.

Betty was born May 25, 1950, in Aiken County, South Carolina, to Harrison Monroe Elliott and Ruth Speir Elliott who both preceded her in death. She spent much of her life in Aiken before moving to McCormick in 1999, where she made her home for the past 27 years.

On June 9, 1968, Betty married the love of her life, John W. Tullis, Jr., and together they shared 58 years of marriage, a devotion that spanned more than half a century and set an example of steady, patient love for everyone who knew them.

Betty spent her career as an office manager working for many years at Avondale Mills where she retired. She was a member of Plum Branch Baptist Church, and her steady faith guided her every day.

Those who knew Betty knew her deep unwavering love she poured into her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart above almost everything else. She was, in every sense of the word, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, John W. Tullis, Jr., of McCormick; her three children, Tanya Kay Armstrong (Gary) of North Augusta, SC, Lorie Tullis Richey (Jeremy) of Honea Path, SC, and Tracie Tullis Arhelger (Nate) of McCormick, SC; her sister, Debbie Parks (Ken) of Warrenville, SC; Marlene Sanders (James) of Whigham, GA who both preceded her in death; grandchildren; Blanton Pou (Libby), Kesley Pou, River Dane Arhelger, Baylin Reese Arhelger, and Miles Woodrow Richey; great-grandchild, Caleb Harrison Fernandez; and a host of other loving family and friends.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastor Donnie Crawford.

There are some people who leave this world having made it a little softer, a little kinder, and a little more full of faith simply because they were here. Jane Elizabeth Dawson was one of those people.

Jane, 84, of Augusta, Georgia, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on September 18, 2026, after a courageous year-long battle with metastatic kidney cancer.

Jane was born July 28, 1942, in Augusta, Georgia, to Louise Turner and Robert Earl Mayson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The loves of Jane’s life were simple and certain: Jesus Christ and her family.

Her faith was not something she saved for Sunday mornings. It was woven throughout her life. Jane was a prayer warrior who truly believed in the power of prayer. When life became difficult, she prayed. She persevered. She leaned on God. And somehow, even during her own struggles, she still found a way to encourage others.

Two phrases summed up much of what she believed: “God will make a way” and “Jesus is coming soon.”

Jane wanted her children and the generations after her to dig deep into their faith in Christ and always remember that He would never leave them nor forsake them. If she could leave one final message for the people she loved, there would probably be no hesitation: “Follow Jesus”.

Jane was very active in church and worshipped at Augusta’s First Assembly of God and Whole Life Ministries. She loved to sing. Whether she was singing in the choir, with the praise team, or standing alone singing a solo, worship was part of who she was.

Jane almost always had a smile on her face. She would speak to strangers and somehow make them feel as though they were already friends. It wasn’t hard to make her laugh, and those who knew her will remember that wonderful belly laugh.

And when she was especially happy, you might even get to see her little wiggle dance.

Her last place of employment was Goody Two Shoes, but the roles that mattered most in Jane’s life could never be summed up by a job title. She was Mom. She was a friend. She was a woman of faith. And she was Mema.

In fact, she was everybody’s Mema. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her as Mema, and even her grandchildren’s friends came to know and love her that way. She was affectionate, could be stern when she needed to be, and, above all, she prayed for them.

Her children knew something else special about their relationship with her: they were not only her children; they were her friends.

Jane leaves behind her children, Sharon Welch, Maria Watkins, Royce Watkins, and Shelley Watkins McGee and her husband, Don McGee; her grandchildren, Amanda McGee and Steven Tovar; her great-grandchildren, Jayden Bazemore and Olivia Bazemore; and her only surviving brother, Bobby Mayson and his wife, Delores. She also leaves behind extended family, her church family, dear friends, and the many people who simply knew and loved her as Mema.

Even when cancer entered the final chapter of Jane’s life, she never gave up believing that she would be healed. Her faith remained part of her fight until the end.

Those who loved Jane will grieve the space she leaves behind, but they will also carry pieces of her forward, her prayers, her faith, her smile, her belly laugh, her gentleness, and the certainty with which she could always remind them: “God will make a way.”

And perhaps the sweetest way to remember Jane is not to picture her sick or tired. Picture her whole. Picture that smile. Hear that belly laugh. And somewhere in there, picture Mema doing that little wiggle dance again.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jane’s life on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, Georgia.

Visitation will be held from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by Jane’s Homegoing Celebration at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.

Dr. Sandra G. Kennedy will officiate, with special music by Saundra Willis.

Anyone who knew and loved Jane is welcome to share a story or memory during the celebration. There is no need for formality, please come as you are as we remember, laugh, cry, worship, and celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.

Mrs. Michele Kay Berti Conner, 80, of Aiken, SC, beloved wife of MSG Thomas Williams, United States Army retired, entered into rest on Friday, August 28, 2026, in the comfort of her home.

Michele spent her life seeking the kingdom of God. She came into this world with a Faith that could move mountains and move mountains she did. Michele opened her heart and her home to strangers, friends, and her children's friends.

Always constant in her devotion to her family, Michele gave birth to two children and adopted a family of five. Childhoods were filled with happy memories of holiday and birthday celebrations that only a mother could orchestrate.

Michele devoted herself to practicing her Faith, nurturing and mothering all who came across her path, and leading with firm direction and wisdom. She influenced thousands of lives during her 45-year education career that spanned teaching in several states, finally achieving the role of Director of Elementary Education for the Aiken County School District. She was very proud of this accomplishment.

Michele was a diehard Steelers fan. She was also very proud of her Italian heritage and took pride in cooking meals and making cookies that were specific to her culture.

After retiring from ACPS in 2011, Michele turned her attention to her family and her church, Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. She shared her many talents with OLV for years and formed strong friendships with the priests assigned to the parish.
Michele will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.

She is predeceased by her parents, Steven Eugene and Mary Principe Berti, and two children, Grace Newman and Paul Conner.

Along with her husband of 27 years, Thomas B. Williams, left to cherish her memory are daughters, Tamala Conner and Mary Conner, sons, Charlie Conner and Billy Conner, Tom’s children, Sharon Turner, Deasree Williams, and Atoysha Chester, grandchildren Charles Conner, Jr, Cameron (Kenna) Conner, Dominic Shinn and Miles Wischhof, Siera Lawrence, Nia Chester, Kiya Mcvay, and Kahlia Flowers and great-grandchildren, Charlie Conner, Ava Conner and Elijah Conner and a brother, Steven Eugene Berti.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 6 o’clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. The family will greet friends and share memories following the rosary until 8 o’clock at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2006, 10 o’clock at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Gloverville, SC. Father Oliver Agible will serve as celebrant. Following the Mass, farewell prayers and final commendations will be held at Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC.

Mrs. Delori “Lori” Frazier Burkett, 64, of Aiken, SC, beloved wife of Jerry Russell Burkett, entered into rest on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Boone, WV, she is the daughter of the late Bobby Joe and Lynne Johnson Frazier. As a child, her father's job gave the family many different places to live, and she was able to experience a wide range of things. She had lived in Charleston, SC, before making Aiken, SC, her home twenty years ago.
Lori was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She was employed at E2 Federal Services for the last fifteen years, as an accounting administrator.

Lori was an active member of Cedar Creek Church, where she had formerly served as an usher and was active in the Home Group Ministry.

Often, Lori could be found reading and playing trivia on her phone. However, she enjoyed nothing more than time spent with her family and friends.

Along with Jerry, Lori is loved and will be missed by Jerry’s children, Heather Mucciarone and Daniel Kenneth “Kenny” (Nicole) Burkett, Brandi Coleman, who Lori loved as if she were her own child, sister, Mona Gouveia, cousins, Jacqui (Jerry) Crosby and Mysi (Guy) Murray, who were much more than cousins, more like sisters, and grandchildren, Evan Mucciarone, Owen Mucciarone and Evalyn Burkett and let us not forget twins, Cole and Daniel who are due on September 14th.

Also, preceding Lori in death was a brother, Danny Frazier.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1 o’clock at Cedar Creek Church, Aiken, SC. (building #4) Pastors Rick Lee and Mike McKee will officiate. In accordance with her wishes, Lori was cremated.

Mr. Justin Blade Swearingen, 40, of Aiken, SC, entered into rest peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026.

Born in Augusta, GA, and a resident of Fort Payne, AL, for most of his life, he was the son of Jerrold Franklin “Jeff” Swearingen and Dawn Wabel (Rich Weisert) Pica. He graduated from Fort Payne High School in 2005.

At the time of his death, he was a Stocker with T.J. Maxx in Aiken, SC. Justin was often a quiet person and never liked being the center of attention. However, time spent with his family and friends was always treasured.

Justin was happiest when he was spending time with his family and friends, playing his guitar, and jamming to some of his favorite bands, such as KORN, Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera, and Slipknot. He also enjoyed gaming, watching his beloved DAWGS play, grilling out with his friends and family, as well as skateboarding and feeding the squirrels.

Along with his mom, dad, and his mother's companion, Justin is loved and his memory will always live on in the hearts of his siblings, Chase (Emily Hood) Swearingen, Devin Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Savannah (Bobby) Smith, Hannah (Logan) Minniear, and Shyannah Hughes, grandfather, Jerrold Franklin Swearingen, aunts and uncles, Pennie Day, Andrea Eubanks, Caprice (Dwayne) Brooks, Tab Coward, Eric Swearingen, Stephen(Cindy) Swearingen, Adam (Tammy) Swearingen, Garret (Karri) Swearingen, Brent Swearingen, and over fifty cousins as well as extended family members and friends.
