Employee Spotlight: Meet Ashleigh, CNA!

This week, we're excited to introduce one of the incredible CNA’s who makes Regency Care of Rogue Valley such a special place, Ashleigh! 💙

Ashleigh has been caring for others for years, and her passion for healthcare started at home. Growing up, she watched her mom build a career as a Registered Nurse while raising four children. Seeing her mother's compassion, strength, and dedication inspired Ashleigh to follow a similar path and dedicate her own career to helping others.

When asked who makes her smile every day at work, Ashleigh's answer was easy:

"My best friend, Faith Boucher, we met 10 years ago when she trained me as a CNA at a different facility. Work family is important, we see a lot working in healthcare, so support is a must."

Healthcare isn't always easy, and having a strong support system makes all the difference. Ashleigh reminds us that the friendships built in this profession often become lifelong bonds, helping us care not only for our residents but for one another as well.

Her advice for anyone beginning a career in healthcare is something we can all live by:

"Work with your heart. Take care of the residents like they are your own family. Be a team player and don't forget to ask for help when you need it."

That advice perfectly reflects the way Ashleigh approaches her work every single day. She leads with kindness, compassion, and patience, always treating our residents with the dignity, respect, and love they deserve. Whether she's helping residents settle in for the evening, answering a call light in the middle of the night, offering a listening ear, or simply sharing a smile, Ashleigh brings comfort, compassion, and reassurance when our residents need it most. Her calm presence and genuine kindness help make every shift a little brighter.

Please join us in celebrating our Employee of the Month, Jean, BSN, RN, our incredible Resident Care Manager!

Around Regency Care of Rogue Valley, she's affectionately known as "Queen Jean," and if you've ever walked through our halls, you know exactly why.

Jean is the heart of our clinical team. While many see her singing and dancing through the hallways with a smile that brightens everyone's day, there's another side to her work that often goes unseen. Behind her desk, she's tirelessly researching each resident's health history, developing individualized care plans, collaborating with our interdisciplinary team, and making sure every resident receives the thoughtful, compassionate care they deserve.

Her dedication goes far beyond the job description. She advocates fiercely for our residents, supports families through difficult moments, and is always willing to lend a helping hand to her coworkers. Whether she's answering questions, mentoring staff, or stepping in wherever she's needed, Jean leads with kindness, compassion, and an infectious positive attitude.

Our residents adore her. Our staff appreciate her. And our facility is a better place because of her.

Rehab Spotlight at Regency Care of Rogue Valley🌟💙

Recovery looks different for everyone, and that's exactly why our therapy team creates personalized treatment plans tailored to each resident's unique goals. Whether someone is recovering from surgery, an illness, an injury, or a hospital stay, our Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists work together to help residents regain strength, confidence, and independence.

Physical Therapy (PT) 💪🏼
Physical Therapy is all about helping residents get back on their feet safely. Our Physical Therapists focus on improving strength, balance, endurance, mobility, and reducing the risk of falls.
📸Pictured: Carrie, one of our Physical Therapists, is working with a resident who came to Regency Care of Rogue Valley for rehabilitation after sustaining a right femur fracture and right humerus fracture. Together, they're practicing stair training, an important milestone toward safely returning home and navigating everyday life with confidence.

Speech Therapy (ST) 🗣️
Speech Therapy is about so much more than speech. Our Speech Therapists help residents improve communication, memory, cognition, problem-solving, and swallowing, helping them stay connected and safely participate in everyday life.
📸Pictured: Emily, one of the newest members of our therapy team, is working with a resident using a communication board to support expression, understanding, and meaningful communication. Every resident deserves to have their voice heard, and Speech Therapy provides the tools and support to make that possible.

Occupational Therapy (OT) 🧦
Occupational Therapy helps residents regain the skills needed for everyday living. From getting dressed and bathing to preparing meals and completing daily routines, OT focuses on restoring independence through personalized treatment and adaptive equipment.
📸Pictured: Kayla, our Director of Rehabilitation, is working with one of our favorite 103-year-old residents, who came to us following a left femur fracture. During today's session, they're using a sock aid, an adaptive device that allows residents to put on their socks safely while maintaining as much independence as possible.
Sometimes it's the smallest accomplishments, like putting on a pair of socks independently.

Every milestone matters whether it's climbing a flight of stairs after surgery, putting on socks independently, communicating a need with confidence, remembering a loved one's name, or enjoying a meal safely.

These moments may seem small, but to our residents and their families, they represent hope, progress, and a step closer to reaching their goals.

Our therapists don't just provide rehabilitation; they build confidence, encourage perseverance, celebrate victories, and remind our residents that they are never alone in their recovery journey.

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy longer days, sunshine, and spending time outdoors, but warmer temperatures can also increase the risk of dehydration and heat-related illness, especially for older adults.

A few simple habits can make a big difference:
💧Drink water regularly, even if you don't feel thirsty.
🧴Protect your skin with sunscreen, a hat, and lightweight clothing.
🌴Take breaks in the shade or indoors during the hottest part of the day.
🍉Choose fresh fruits and nutritious meals to help stay hydrated and energized.

Breanna is an incredible part of our team as our Activity Assistant, and her hard work often happens behind the scenes. In addition to creating meaningful activities for our residents, she coordinates all resident transportation through Meraki, Ready Ride, and JCT, ensuring appointments, outings, and essential trips run smoothly every day.

Her organization, reliability, and dedication help our residents stay connected to the care and services they need. Whether she's scheduling transportation, assisting with activities, or lending a helping hand wherever it's needed, Breanna always does so with a positive attitude and a caring heart.

Thank you, Breanna, for everything you do for our residents and our team. Your compassion, commitment, and willingness to go the extra mile do not go unnoticed. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Regency family! 💙

Choosing a skilled nursing facility is one of the most important healthcare decisions a family can make. That's why the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) created the Five-Star Quality Rating System, to help families compare facilities using objective, publicly reported information.

We're proud to have earned an Overall CMS 5-Star Rating, the highest rating awarded by CMS.

The overall rating is based on three key areas:
⭐️Health Inspections - Results of state health inspections and compliance with federal standards.
⭐️Staffing - The amount of nursing care provided by registered nurses, licensed nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
⭐️Quality Measures - Clinical outcomes that reflect the quality of care residents receive, including:

Today we are excited to recognize our amazing volunteer trio: Kent Prickett, Steve Nuckles, and Mark Tucker!
The Duet!
For the past 3 years, these wonderful gentlemen have dedicated their time and talents to our residents, bringing joy, laughter, and meaningful connections to our community. Their kindness and commitment have made such a lasting impact, and our residents absolutely love hearing them sing!

Their dedication and caring hearts help create special moments that brighten everyone’s day, and we are incredibly grateful for all they do. Thank you, Kent, Steve, and Mark, for sharing your time and making our facility feel even more like home. ❤️

💙 CNA Week 2026 highlights 💙

Last week was all about celebrating the incredible CNAs who are the heart of our team and the backbone of the care we provide every day.

From games and prize tickets to our dirty soda bar, taco bar, and a friendly salsa competition, we had so much fun showing our appreciation for the hardworking CNAs who make a difference in the lives of our residents.

Our CNAs are often the first smiling face residents see in the morning and the last to wish them goodnight. They provide comfort during difficult moments, celebrate victories both big and small, and build meaningful relationships with the people they care for. Their compassion, patience, dedication, and selflessness do not go unnoticed. The care our CNAs at Regency Care of Rogue Valley provide goes far beyond meeting physical needs, they bring dignity, respect, kindness, and human connection to every resident, every day.

Also, a huge thank you to our amazing kitchen staff for putting together the delicious taco bar and helping make this week extra special. We are also grateful for every department and team member who helped celebrate and support our CNAs throughout the week. Great resident care takes a village, and we are proud to work alongside such an incredible team. When every department comes together with a shared commitment to our residents, amazing things happen.

To our amazing CNAs: thank you for your hard work, your unwavering dedication, and the countless little things you do that often go unseen. You are truly the backbone of our facility, and we are grateful for the difference you make in the lives of our residents and their families every single day.
