September is Su***de Prevention Month, and this year our community is coming together in a new way. 💛
Ruby Ranch Mental Health is partnering with Jimmy’s New York Street Dogs and other local Grants Pass businesses for a month-long campaign focused on hope, connection, and su***de prevention.
Throughout September, you’ll start seeing Su***de Prevention donation jugs at participating local businesses. Every contribution adds up to support local mental health services and su***de prevention efforts through Ruby Ranch Mental Health.
But we also want this month to be about showing up for our community, not just fundraising. That’s why we’re introducing the Su***de Prevention Passport. Pick up a Passport at a participating business, visit businesses around Grants Pass throughout September, and collect stamps along the way. It’s a fun way to support the local businesses joining this effort while helping spread awareness throughout our community.
And yes… there are bragging rights involved. 👀 Participating businesses will be competing to see who can raise the most during September and take home the coveted Horseshoe of Hope for the year. 🏆🐴🌭
This campaign is especially meaningful because Jimmy’s New York Street Dogs created this effort in honor of their son. We’re grateful to stand alongside their family and our local businesses in turning that loss into greater connection, awareness, and support for others.
Follow along throughout September as we introduce the participating businesses, share where you can find the jugs and Passports, and reveal more details about our October event.
Together, we can remind people in our community that they matter, support is available, and no one has to navigate hard things alone.
If you or someone you know needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
