Better Sleep Linked to Fewer Vascular Complications in Type 2 Diabetes.

New research suggests that getting sufficient quality sleep may reduce a type 2 diabetic’s risk of macrovascular complications like coronary artery disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease by 25% and microvascular complications including neuropathy, nephropathy, and retinopathy by 14%.

Questionnaires completed by 9,100 university students revealed 58.7% had musculoskeletal pain, most commonly in the neck (43.6%), back (37.1%), and shoulders (36.2%).
