Two weeks until election day! Have you voted or made your plan to vote?

In September, MEAction participated in the non-partisan Disability Voting Rights Week to help make sure our community is prepared to vote. We gathered a list of helpful resources for you to use: https://ow.ly/A0vR50ZZt6E

Early voting is happening in many states. Vote by mail is also happening. However, you are exercising your right to vote, make sure you have a plan! See our link for resources especially for the disability community and keep the election protection hotline handy- 866-OUR-VOTE.

Missed the October 19th deadline to register to vote? You can still vote by going through the process of same day registration. You can register to vote at the polling place, voting center, or county election office on November 3rd, and your ballot will be counted once the County Elections Office has completed their voter registration verification process. Just make sure to bring some form of Identification, which can be a variety of things. To learn which forms of ID are accepted, check out this resource:

Have you heard of Remote Accessible Vote-By-Mail (RAVBM)? With the election coming up November 3rd, now is the time to familiarize yourself with options such as RAVBM. RAVBM requires you to have access to a computer, internet connection, and a printer, however it is not internet voting.

If voting via RAVBM, you’ll start by contacting your counties local elections office for the RAVBM Ballot. From there you will be able to download the ballot on your computer, utilize your own assistive technology to make your selections, then print the ballot and return it to your county elections office.

More questions about RAVBM or registering to vote? Come into FREED’s Grass Valley office October 15th from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. to receive direct support.

Otherwise, you can register to vote at https://registertovote.ca.gov/ or check if you’re registered at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/ and remember, the last day to register ahead of time for the November 3rd election is October 19th, 2026.
