The tennis tournament was created to honor the life and legacy of Sam Sweeney, a dear friend of Dr. Ben who left us far too soon earlier this year. While his passing has left an immeasurable void, his kindness, generosity, and the impact he had on so many continue to bring people together.

Dr. Ben is proud to be a founding member of the Sweeney Foundation, a 501(c)(3) established in Sam's memory. The foundation provides support to families facing sudden financial hardship, promotes youth development through tennis, organizes community events, and funds scholarships.

These motivated high school students are spending their summer exploring a variety of healthcare careers. Dr. Ben shared what it takes to become a dentist and orthodontist, discussed the educational path to the profession, and even showed a few of his most interesting orthodontic cases.
