Today we commemorate Juneteenth: a chance to celebrate human freedom, reflect on the grievous and ongoing legacy of slavery, and rededicate ourselves to rooting out the systemic racism that continues to plague our society as we strive to deliver the full promise of America to every American.

Juneteenth is a day to reflect on both bo***ge and freedom — a day of both pain and purpose. It is, in equal measure, a remembrance of both the long, hard night of slavery and subjugation, as well as a celebration of the promise of a brighter morning to come.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, comfort their families, grant them peace, and help us never take their sacrifice for granted. May we live worthy of their courage. Amen.

Our Mother's Day banquet was a great success, the food was great, and the fellowship was even better! We want to thank our guest speaker, Ruth Hogston for singing and brining a fantastic devotion to our lovely residents!

Hold your horses… 🐎 because the fun is just getting started!

We had a neigh-mazing time at our Derby Party! From big hats to bigger laughs, our residents were off to the races with plenty of horse jokes to go around—because why not stirrup a little fun? 😄

Whether we were cheering on our favorites or just horsing around with friends, it was a day full of smiles, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Who else thinks every party should come with a little Derby flair? 🏇💐

Today we ask you to join us in reflecting upon Matthew 28:6 and to pray over our elders, team, donors, and volunteers.

Gracious Risen Lord,

On this day we ask you to wrap your love around the Christian Care Family.

Bless the elders with peace and dignity, strengthen the caretakers with compassion and rest, fill the volunteers with joy, and multiply the generosity of donors. Surround each of them in Faith, Care, and Family. Let Your love and hope shine through every act of service.

We pray in your holy name. Amen.

Today we ask you to join us in reflecting upon 1 John 4:19 and to pray over our elders.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life and the blessing you have bestowed upon us. We want to pray for the elderly, who have spent their lives nurturing and raising families, contributing to society, and building our communities. Lord, as they enter their golden years, I ask that you bless them with your overwhelming love; especially in times of pain, loneliness and fear.
Lord, we ask that you surround each elder with deep and meaningful relationships, a sense of purpose and wholeness, and the knowledge that your love is enough.

In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.
