Most don't know we have a most distinguished resident at River Bend ❤️ As a pet friendly facility, we believe all special days are worth celebrating! There is no lack of love or photos of this sweet BIG boy, that's for sure! He has not only brought joy, purpose and life back to Ms. Cheryl's days, but he is a source of smiles and serotonin for the staff as well! He comes running for the girls lovings and scratches each time he hears the door open and knows each of their voices! He is the best pet therapy for us all! Happiest of 5th Kitty Birthdays, Toby! You will be spoiled to the hilt for the rest of your days!

On 8/19/26, we celebrated (and grieved!) our second well-earned retirement of 2026. With a tenure of almost 23 years, our beloved housekeeper, Beth Bruno decided it was time to pass the baton. Anyone who knows Beth, knows just how big her servant heart is. She was so much more than our housekeeper, often holding the greater title of Friend. Beth has the best hugs, the best listening ear for joys, troubles and old stories and the discrete knack for making sure no one ever lacked for anything. Whether she was buying extra washcloths and toilet paper for those running low, or favorite candies and treats to bring a smile, Beth has spent each and every one of her days at River Bend only thinking of others and creating unforgettable memories in each life she touched. Congratulations Ms. Beth Bruno! You are a one in a million lady with a heart of gold and it has been our privilege to work beside you. Best wishes for your days of rest, relaxation and all of the blessings that come your way ❤️

Happiest of Birthdays to this ornery gal that always keeps us on our toes ❤️ Whether it be a little sarcasm, some cheeky humor, a German lesson or a compliment on your beauty, Pauline always has a little something to add to our day! Her smile and genuine laughter is contagious and her quick wit is sure-fire proof that age is only a number! 95 never looked so good!

Did we mention she has some of the best "Mama's boys" around. Check out the bouquets for this absolutely loved and spoiled lady! Almost as beautiful as she is!

65 years of life and love together ❤️ We were blessed to celebrate another fantastic couple on their special day today! These 2 keep us entertained with their ornery banter and inside commentary. A lifetime of love definitely requires some occasional sarcasm and teasing and there is no lack of such in this room Wishing the Happiest of Anniversaries to Don & Lucille Davis! Thank you for setting the bar high, for being a great example of a solid marriage foundation and for sharing with us the beautiful family you've created in all the years along the way!

There are a few days a year when it is an absolute must to stay up past our bedtime ❤️ We had a great 4th of July celebration, lighting up the sky for our 250th year of American Independence! Our residents enjoyed popcorn and soda while they awaited the show, hosted by the one and only, Deklyn Craven! Thank you to 2 of our best girls - ShaiAnn and Natalie - for getting everyone comfortable for the festivities and tucked in afterwards 😀 a neighbor from Cedar Park Place said it was our best show yet!

We had a ladies crafting afternoon today and our table almost wasn't big enough! 12 of our sweet residents joined us to put their own creative touches on a patriotic door hanger and we think the results speak for themselves! We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again! Thank you to all of the staff for being all hands on deck and helping out - ShaiAnn, Natalie, Brenda, Chelsy, Kim and Courtney are just a few of our best ❤️

Roger has been sharing his love of Rumikub with so many of our residents over the past few weeks! Today, he had the opportunity to teach a youngster a thing or two! After working on a puzzle together for a short while, Roger took the opportunity to show Josiah (Beth's grandson) his love for the game! This is the bonding, quality time we love to see!
