I have received several inquiries recently asking whether Treasure State Hydrate provides iron infusions, and the answer is "yes, we do"!

We work with many healthcare providers throughout Great Falls to help patients receive their prescribed iron therapy in a comfortable and convenient setting. We often serve individuals who are self-pay, have high deductibles, or simply prefer to receive their infusion with us.

If you have a qualifying diagnosis and insurance coverage, I encourage you to explore receiving treatment through a facility that can bill your insurance.

Although we offer iron infusions, we do not administer iron simply because someone feels tired or suspects their level may be low. Appropriate and current laboratory testing is required before treatment; this can be obtained through your primary care provider or specialist you routinely see.

Symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, headaches, brain fog, shortness of breath, and hair loss can occur with iron deficiency, but they can also be caused by many other conditions. Treating symptoms without confirming the diagnosis could delay identification of the underlying problem. It is important to know the "why" someone is iron deficient.

Giving iron when it is not needed, or administering more than the body requires, can lead to iron overload and potentially affect the liver, heart, and other organs. IV iron can also cause nausea, flushing, dizziness, blood-pressure changes, low phosphorus levels, infusion-site irritation or permanent skin staining, and, rarely, a serious allergic reaction.

At Treasure State Hydrate, iron infusions are treated as medical therapy, not simply another wellness add-on. Requiring appropriate lab work is not intended to create a barrier. It is how we ensure your treatment is necessary, individualized, and provided as safely as possible. ๐Ÿค

If your provider has recommended an iron infusion, please contact us to learn more about our requirements and cost.

Some days in small business are justโ€ฆrough. ๐Ÿ˜…

My day started at 5:45 a.m., with a headache, to prepare for infusions. I broke a vial of NAD, punctured an IV bag while spiking it, and watched it leak everywhere. This was, of course, after I had the bright idea not to bring in another case because I thought I had plenty. It leaked into my kit, saturating everything in the basket, so naturally, it all had to be tossed.

At some point, I also managed to cut my finger, and the sanitizer I used over and over made sure I didnโ€™t forget it. ๐Ÿ”ฅ And the coffee just wasnโ€™t hitting. ๐Ÿฅฑ

Hanging bags, drawing up all the things, checking on clients, charting, cleaning, and sanitizing everything over and over again. By the time I got home, I was so exhausted that I took a four-hour nap. I am not a napper!

But thatโ€™s the behind-the-scenes story. From our, clientsโ€™ perspective, everything flowed smoothly, and honestly, they made my day so much better. ๐Ÿ’™

It was a long, messy, exhausting day, but it was also filled with great conversations, wonderful clients, and plenty of reminders that even the roughest days can still hold something good.

I was going to post a Vitamin Fun Fact today, but I woke up to a five-star review that brought back a much funnier memory. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Treasure State Hydrate had only been open for a couple of months when I received a message from a gentleman staying at a hotel who needed an IV infusion. Meghan and I typically go together for a clientโ€™s first in-home infusion, especially when we donโ€™t know them. Itโ€™s an added safety measure in case a medical emergency occurs.

The only problem? I was already on my way to the airport.

So, I called Meghan and said, โ€œMegโ€ฆthereโ€™s a guy in a hotel room who wants an infusion.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Being the amazing friend and partner she is, Meghan agreed to go. Her husband and I kept close tabs on her the entire time because, naturally, sending your friend alone to meet a stranger in a hotel room sounds like the beginning of a true-crime documentary.

Thankfully, the โ€œguy in the hotelโ€ became one of our most frequent clients and, even better, a wonderful friend.

Meghan and I still laugh about the time she bravely walked into that hotel room with an IV bag while the rest of us monitored the situation from afar. Small-business ownership is never boring. and sometimes the people who begin as strangers become the very best part of the journey. ๐Ÿ’™

Thank you for the wonderful review and for trusting us all these years!

Today was one of those days that reminds you exactly why you do what you do.

This was day six of nonstop work, school, and running a business, and truly the best way to end it.

One of my clients shared that they are expecting their first child. They had been traveling out of state for infertility treatments, and their provider prescribed specific vitamin injections at specific dosages for a specific # of weeks. We were honored when asked to be part of their journey

Hearing their wonderful news gave me goosebumps. and I have them again writing this. I was also gifted this beautiful shawl, which is an expression of respect and gratitude in their culture ๐Ÿฉท

We ended the day providing home infusions. Our final client, who is bedbound and struggles with maintaining hydration (recently transported to the ER to receive IV fluids x 3). To keep up on hydration needs, they enlisted our services over the next few weeks.
We left being renamed โ€œwater angels" ๐Ÿฉต

The heart is happy and full๐Ÿ’›
