Tennis elbow is an overuse injury caused by irritation of the tendons on the outside of the elbow. Despite the name, you don’t have to play tennis to develop it!

Common signs include:
• Pain when gripping or lifting
• Tenderness on the outside of the elbow
• Reduced grip strength

Rest from aggravating activities, gradual strengthening, and guidance from a qualified healthcare professional can help. Persistent or worsening pain should always be assessed.

Your comeback starts with the right recovery plan- if you aren’t sure what to do ask Alesa or one of our PT’s!

Could a pop socket really help with thumb pain? Tom (The Hand Man) has got your back…or hand.

A PopSocket or similar phone grip can help by reducing how tightly you hold your phone and decreasing strain on your thumb, fingers, and wrist. It may also make it easier to keep your wrist in a more comfortable, neutral position.

Try these tips:

- Place the grip where your hand can hold the phone comfortably.
- Alternate hands when texting.
- Use both thumbs or voice-to-text.
- Take regular breaks from scrolling.
- Avoid gripping your phone too tightly.

Small changes to how you hold your phone can make a big difference! If hand, thumb, or wrist pain continues, Tom can help identify the cause and recommend personalized exercises and strategies.

Ever wonder why your shoulder suddenly feels stiff, painful, and difficult to move? You may be experiencing frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis. Alesa explains!

Frozen shoulder occurs when the tissues surrounding the shoulder joint become irritated, thickened, and tight. It often progresses through three stages:

❄️ Freezing: Pain increases and motion becomes more limited
🧊 Frozen: Pain may improve, but stiffness remains
🌤️ Thawing: Mobility gradually begins to return

Recovery can take time, but physical therapy can help reduce pain, restore mobility, and rebuild strength through individualized exercises and hands-on treatment.
