Acupuncture needles are not like other needles. They are designed to glide through tissue. While I do use larger gauge needles for stronger trigger point therapy, these 40 gauge needles are my most commonly used size.

My friend and colleague, Mary Laznovsky, did this demo on her reels last week, and I loved it. She challenged me to try it, and I'm always up for a challenge. I was worried I might have to do it a few times to get the same results as Mary, but this was my first try! Now I have a mostly full bag of blue balloons leftover. 🎈

This is 50. I finally understand the old SNL character, Sally O'Malley, proud to be 50 and still kicking and stretching. Last week, one of my gym buddies told me on his 50th, when asked what he wanted to do, he said, "Squats." I told him I was stealing his line.

Thank you to all who took the time out to message me today. I had a great day filled with so many lovely birthday wishes and several surprises. I got in a good workout and saw a handful of patients. My mom surprised me and stopped in for a hug and a gift. My siblings outdid each other with their thoughtful bday poems. And, Lucky girl that I am, I got a 3rd (private) poem from Skip. Who gets 3 poems on their bday??? 🤗

Tonight, Skip treated us to my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn . Lucas surprised me by coming up from Philly just to share the meal. It was, of course, exceptional, and the owner and staff took such good care of us. I could eat every birthday meal there happily. When the candle came on my tiramisu, I had nothing left to wish for. 🎂❤️

I rarely do facial rejuvenation acupuncture. For at least 6 years, sometimes once a week, I tell myself "Just needle your own wrinkles. It's free." Have I done it? Never. Starts today. I guess I should have taken a before shot. 🤷‍♀️

I love doing Career Day. I love NYC public school kids. I love seeing their faces when I show them the "big needle".

We haven't made it Upstate for climbing in a bit. But I love getting in a strong gym climbing session followed by a leisurely stroll in Gantry Park. So many Sundays have been spent in this park over the past 15 plus years. I'll never get tired of it.
