Tanner Steven Nichols

Tanner Steven Nichols

April 13, 1979 – October 12, 2026

Tanner Steven Nichols, 47, passed away on October 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, a few unfinished projects, and a family who loved him beyond measure.

Born on April 13, 1979, Tanner was the beloved son of Fred and Kelli Nichols, brother to Tiffany (Seth) Raulston and Trent Nichols, and proud father of Saige, James, and Lex Nichols.

To know Tanner was to know someone who did things his own way. He was stubborn, fiercely independent, endlessly creative, and never particularly concerned with what anyone else thought. Tanner had a way of seeing the world differently, and he wasn't afraid to follow his own path.

Tanner was an extraordinary craftsman with a gift for seeing possibilities where others saw something ordinary. He could fix just about anything, and if something was already working, chances were he could find a way to make it better. For Tanner, simply completing a task was never enough. Everything had the potential to become something extraordinary, and he had the talent, imagination, and determination to make it happen. Of course, his pursuit of perfection sometimes meant a project was never quite finished — there was always one more detail to get just right.

He had a curious mind and a genuine fascination with history, craftsmanship, and understanding how things were made. He loved collecting sports cards, coins, and just about anything he thought had a story worth discovering or the potential to become something better.

And then there was "Tanner Time." Tanner was rarely, if ever, on time for anything. In his world, showing up 45 minutes to an hour late was still perfectly acceptable — and as far as he was concerned, he was right on schedule. Those who knew him learned that when Tanner said he'd be there at a certain time, it was best to add a little cushion. It was simply Tanner Time, and there was no changing it.

Family held a special place in Tanner's heart. He loved his parents deeply and took great pride in his children, Saige, James, and Lex. His children adored him, loving him with a grace and understanding far beyond their years. Their love for their dad was unwavering, and the memories they made together will always be treasured.

Tanner was simply Tanner — talented, stubborn, creative, and completely himself. He had an extraordinary gift for creating things, a mind that never stopped imagining possibilities, and a personality that those who knew him will never forget.

Forty-seven years was simply not enough. There were still memories to make, stories to tell, and milestones in his children's lives that he should have been here to see. His absence will be felt in ways that words cannot fully express. And while Tanner may have always operated on his own time, those who loved him would give anything to have just a little more of it.

Tanner will be remembered for all his beautiful, unique characteristics, and all the little things that made him unmistakably Tanner. Most of all, he will be missed by the family who loved him, especially his three children, Saige, James, and Lex.

Georgie Ann Patrick

Georgie Ann Patrick May 6, 1943 – October 6, 2026

Georgie Ann Patrick, born Georgie Ann Bulis, known lovingly to her grandchildren as “GiGi,” passed away on the morning of October 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. She was 83.

Born in Austin, Texas, on May 6, 1943, Georgie spent her childhood living in Texas, Colorado and Arkansas. Those early years may have helped develop a gift she carried throughout her life: she never met a stranger, and somehow, wherever she went, she found someone she knew.

Georgie attended Fort Collins High School, where her circle of friends included her lifelong best friend, Nancy Day. Their parents discovered an effective way to keep both girls working: tell each one that the other was working harder. Nancy heard about Georgie’s efforts at her family’s place on West Mulberry, while Georgie heard about Nancy’s work on the farm. Both buckled down, determined not to be outdone. Well played, parents. Well played.

While attending Colorado State University, Georgie met the love of her life, Bob Patrick. They married in San Antonio, Texas, and moved to New Jersey, where Georgie taught elementary school. After returning to Colorado, they settled in Fort Collins and began building their family, welcoming daughters Toni in 1971 and Wendi in 1972. Georgie continued teaching while helping raise two little girls and battling the snakes that wandered over from the field behind their house.

The family later moved to Greeley, where son Shawn, affectionately known as “Shawnbob,” arrived in 1976. His entrance into the world was a difficult one for his mother, but he has always been quick to point out that the Broncos beat the Chargers that Sunday. Georgie did the hard work; Shawn kept the football score.

In Greeley, Georgie built lasting friendships, including a special bond with Cindy Duncan. Their holiday cookie exchanges eventually inspired them to write and self-publish Colorado Cookie Collection. What began with cookies and friendship grew into cookbook ambitions that, according to family lore, threatened to give Martha Stewart some competition. Martha’s eventual alliance with Snoop Dogg may have been an unfair advantage. Those cookie exchanges established something else, too: wherever Georgie and her friends gathered, sweetness follows.

In the late 1990s, Georgie became GiGi with the arrival of her first grandchildren, Trey and Wilson, sons of Wendi and her husband, Chad Young. With names inspired by Phish’s frontman and a character from the band’s songs, the boys brought a little rock-and-roll influence into the family. In 2009, Toni welcomed Georgie’s granddaughter, Robbi Jaye, whose name honored beloved members of the family. Georgie treasured her grandchildren and the joy they brought to her life.

Her family grew again when Shawn married his wife, Brenda, in 2019, welcoming a daughter-in-law and a grandson, Cayleb. Although Cayleb joined the family through marriage, GiGi loved him as her own. To Georgie, family was family.

Georgie and Bob shared a life filled with adventure, including casino trips, fishing aboard Bob’s boat, and travels around the world. Their journeys included Scotland, Australia, and an Alaska cruise with her mother, Geneva; stepfather, Jay; and Aunt Sally. Together, they found things both bright and new, but the best part was always the company. From their college days through raising a family and seeing the world, theirs was a long strange trip, filled with love and plenty of stories worth telling.

As her cookbook-writing years gave way to other pursuits, Georgie devoted more time to another great love: cards. She played in multiple bridge groups and enjoyed weekly hand-and-foot games with Cindy, Barb, Sheryl, and Judy. Whether dealing cards, exchanging stories, or sharing in the groove of an afternoon together, Georgie cherished time with her friends.

Georgie loved animals, cherished her friends, and made room in her life for the people around her. An ordinary outing could easily become an opportunity to catch up with old friends, former students, neighbors, or someone she had met along the way. Her life was rich with those connections, and the love and laughter she shared carried a simple message: we want you to be happy.

She was preceded in death by her father George L. Bulis, mother Geneva (Pugh) Hewitt, stepfather Jay Hewitt, sisters Jackie Bulis and Sandra Bulis, and brother John Bulis. She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Patrick, her sister Sherry Harvey; her children, Toni Patrick, Wendi Young (Chad), and Shawn Patrick (Brenda), and her grandchildren, Trey Young, Wilson Young, Robbi Jaye Patrick, and Cayleb Barrett. She is also survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and stepfamilies.

Georgie leaves behind a lifetime of friendship, family stories, well-loved recipes, and memories that will continue to bring both tears and laughter. Returning to the ordinary world without her will take time, but her family and friends carry the reassurance that love will see you through. The warmth she brought into their lives burns on and on.

We will remember her surrounded by the people she loved, laughing over cards, or out on the water with Bob beautiful and free. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and knowing Georgie, that was just about everyone.

Life Celebration will be at Adamson Life Celebration Home on Wednesday October 14th, 2026 at 10:00AM
