Q: Why did you choose to become a part of the UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Institute?
A: I chose to become a part of the UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Institute because I wanted to be involved in a community that is passionate about improving the lives of cancer survivors through compassionate, evidence-based care. This internship has provided me with countless opportunities to learn, grow, and develop both personally and professionally. I have gained valuable hands-on experience, worked alongside an inspiring interdisciplinary team, and strengthened my passion for rehabilitation and patient-centered care. Being part of this community has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am grateful for everything I have learned.
Q: What have you enjoyed the most about your experience?
A: How fulfilling it is to see my patients reach and exceed their goals, and being the best part of their day, and in return they are the best part of mine.
Q: How will your experience at the UNC Cancer Rehabilitation Institute impact your future career?
A: I would absolutely love to further my knowledge and experience within this field whether it be oncology or rehabilitation settings.
