Introducing🌟 Instructor Spotlight Thursday 🌟
Heather (she/her) is the owner of Balanced Movement and believes yoga is about more than movement—it’s about building the resilience and awareness needed to navigate life’s challenges. Her classes blend yoga, strength, and mobility training to help students move with greater ease both on and off the mat.
She’s known for creating a welcoming environment filled with growth, curiosity, and plenty of laughter, Heather encourages students to approach challenges—whether in a yoga pose or everyday life—as opportunities to learn, adapt, and grow.
Through consistent practice, her students often experience increased mobility, greater confidence in their bodies, and a new perspective on obstacles.
Heather also holds certifications as a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher, Barre Instructor, BUTI Movement Instructor, Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, and Level 2 Olympic Weightlifting Coach.
Before opening the studio, Heather worked as a Veterinary Technician, a path inspired by her lifelong love of animals and her upbringing on a farm in Yuma, Colorado.
When she’s not teaching or running the studio, you’ll likely find her searching for interesting rocks, identifying birds on a hike, or adding another plant to a collection that’s already outgrown its designated space. 🪨🌿🐦
