A Local Urban Legend — Found Footage
They say every town has its own urban legends.
Some involve haunted houses.
Some involve abandoned buildings.
And then there’s the story of Ryan.
According to local legend, Ryan decided to do something no reasonable person would ever consider:
He locked himself inside the Arbsession warehouse and spent the night alone.
At first, everything seemed normal.
The lights went out. The doors were locked. The warehouse fell silent.
Ryan started filming.
The footage begins innocently enough. He walks through the aisles, joking with the camera, showing off the seemingly endless rows of climbing ropes, gear bags, carabiners, helmets, and enough arborist equipment to make even the most dedicated tree climber lose their mind.
But as the night went on, something changed.
Ryan began to realize just how enormous the warehouse really was.
Aisle after aisle.
Rack after rack.
More gear.
More ropes.
More bags.
More carabiners.
It never seemed to end.
His laughter became increasingly erratic.
At one point in the footage, Ryan can be heard whispering:
"How much gear does one company need?"
The camera turns toward a seemingly endless wall of arborist equipment.
Then the footage cuts out.
What happened after that night remains a mystery.
Ryan was never quite the same.
Some say the sheer awesomeness of the Arbsession warehouse finally broke him.
Others say he simply wandered too far into the warehouse and was never able to find his way back out.
But there is one part of the legend that refuses to die.
Employees claim that late at night, when the warehouse is empty and the lights are off, you can sometimes hear something echoing through the aisles.
A distant sound.
Faint at first.
Then louder.
A strange, unmistakable laugh.
Ryan's laugh.
So if you ever find yourself at Arbsession after dark...
And you hear laughter coming from somewhere deep inside the warehouse...
Don't follow it.
Because legend has it...
Ryan is still in there.
