Gerald Louis Francis Van Pay, 82, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026 with his family by his side. Gerald was born on February 20, 1944, the son of Robert L. and Beatrice M. (Denis) Van Pay. Jerry walked 500 miles uphill both ways to go to the “University” of Summit Grade School and then repeated the same process to go to Preble High School where he graduated with the class of 1962. On February 8, 1964, he married the former Dorothy Lavrenz. Jerry started working at Koss Lumber out of high school and then Franks Feed Mill, Bay Settlement. He had worked for a time at American Can/James River and then at Wagners John Deere Implement in Denmark. Jerry was employed at Robert Dorner Construction in Luxemburg and retired from CTW Corporation working on Water Well Installations. Jerry enjoyed traveling/camping with his family when they were younger and seeing different states. He was a handyman- building his home and an avid hunter, fisherman and archer. Jerry’s obsession was collecting and repairing John Deere 110/112 lawn tractors with his sons. He enjoyed attending many farm toy shows and adding to his collection of John Deere Toy Tractors with well over 100 replicas. Jerry was an officer with IOF Insurance Group. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife and friends as a member of the Green Bay Squares along with attending conventions. Faye A. McKee, De Pere, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Cancer to be with her Lord and Savior at home with family and friends by her side on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Faye was born on September 6, 1957 in Green Bay the daughter of the now late James and Gladys (Baumgart) VanDenlangenberg. She was a graduate of East De Pere High School with the class of 1975. On August 15 1987 she married Richard McKee and the couple enjoyed over 35 years together. Richard preceded her in death on October 17, 2022. Faye retired from Belmark after 23 years and also bartended at the Rite Place and Ravine which she very much enjoyed~ it was her happy place. She was an avid horse lover, on her Calico Pine Farm. Faye did not have any children of her own but was a fur baby mama, from her mastiffs to now her Aussiedoodles- Moose and Izzy, then our Mini Berniedoodle- Duke. Faye loved to bake and make delicious desserts when there was a party Faye was always up for making all the yummy snack foods. We would always have a huge spread. Faye loved the Green Bay Packers and her football Sundays. Faye also enjoyed time with family and friends playing cards, listening to live music and Friday fish fries. Faye also enjoyed antiquing, finding all sorts of treasures for her beautiful yard that she worked endlessly in the late spring decorating with all her beautiful flowers.

Joanne “Jo” (Swoboda) Franda entered eternal rest on August 3, 2026 at the age of 88 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Jo, daughter of Harry and Grace Swoboda, was born on February 26, 1938 in the Town of Brussels, WI. She was very active throughout her school years, excelling in band, cheerleading and twirling and graduating as Brussels High School Salutatorian in 1956. She was named Cherry Blossom Queen of Door County in 1956.
She was united in holy matrimony to Robert (“Bob”) Martin Franda on December 1, 1956. The newlyweds moved to Green Bay where they raised their family. Jo devoted her time to her 5 children in their younger years and worked various administrative/secretarial positions in later years. After Bob’s retirement, the couple moved to Door County where they loved their home in the woods. Jo was especially proud of the work she handled for the Naval Office in Sturgeon Bay during those years. Jo and Bob eventually moved back to the greater Green Bay area, where Jo volunteered her time for 20 years at De Pere Christian Outreach Center until the age of 87. During their retirement, Jo and Bob also built a cottage on family land near Cold Water Creek for generations to enjoy. Jo described it as a “quiet place to rest. (Mark 6:31)”

Mary Thersesa (Helf) Steffke 12-28-1943 to 6-23-2026
Mary lived a beautiful life. She centered around the deepest love of her family, friends and strangers alike.
She passed on her light of life in kindness to anyone who was willing. Mary retired from her professional life at Enzymatic Therapy. She worked her retirement years at Pick and Save. Spending her twilight years in service and charity to others working for Habitat for humanity, Dorothy A. Rosenberg Good Will Place Pantry, Golden House of Green Bay, collecting clothing donations for children for The Ruth Helf center (Her mother’s child care center)
Mary was battling her second round of serious cancer in her life. She waylaid it for over two years. She passed into everlasting life peacefully with her family in Milwaukee on 6-23-26. Mary is survived by her two sons: Greg Steffke and best friend Evangelina “Angie” Cleereman, Scott Steffke, granddaughter: Morgan Schmidt. Her sisters: Tina Broeren, Ellen (Mark) Annoye and brother: Peter Helf, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Resurrection Catholic Church 333 Hilltop Drive. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M.
