Karen "Gaga" Robertson Jones

Karen “Gaga” Robertson Jones

October 26th, 1947 – June 16th, 2026

With faith in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, we announce the passing of Karen Robertson Jones, who entered into eternal rest on June 16th, 2026 at the age of 78.

Born on October 26th, 1947 in Savannah, Georgia, Karen was the beloved child of Dorothy “Dot” & Edgar C. Robertson. She lived a life marked by faith, compassion, and dedication to family, friends, and community.

A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Karen found strength and purpose through a lifelong relationship with Christ. She was devoted to prayer, participated actively in the sacramental life of the Church, and sought to reflect God's love through acts of kindness, generosity, and service to others.

Karen graduated from Saint Vincent’s Academy in Savannah, Georgia and worked as a bookkeeper for 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, volunteering, baking, and cherished time spent with family and friends out in the sunshine at the beach and the pool.

“Gaga” is survived by her children Rob (Holly) Jones, Heather (Steven) LaBelle, Ashleigh (Craig) Nosse; her cherished grandchildren Cameron (Cody) Taylor, Parker Jones, Peyton LaBelle, Karmen Jones, Jillian LaBelle, Lucy Nosse, and JonJon Nosse; her brothers and sisters, Edgar Charles (Brinda), Pat (Fran), Timmy (Gisele), Martha (Joe), Ginny (Ron), and Tom (Amy), and many other relatives and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar & Dot Robertson, and her loving brother Danny Robertson.

Those who knew and loved Karen will remember her as a precious gift in their lives. She possessed a welcoming kindness that made everyone feel at home and valued. Her radiant smile could light up any room, and her presence was a bright light and blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Karen was known for her genuine compassion, thoughtful nature, and selfless heart. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, offering comfort, encouragement, and love without hesitation. Whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or a simple act of generosity, she reflected God's love in countless ways.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

We take comfort in the words of our Lord: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live." (John 11:25)

A Visitation will be held on June 22nd at Broadus-Raines Chapel in Green Cove Springs from 5 to 6 o’clock in the evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island on June 23rd at 11 o’clock in the morning, followed by a reception in Sullivan Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Council of Catholic Women of Sacred Heart in Fleming Island.

May the angels lead Karen into Paradise, and may perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
