With funding provided by Palm Beach Health Network, the American Heart Association (AHA) recently donated diaper bags including a blood pressure monitor, infant CPR training kit, and an educational booklet to support clients in CenteringPregnancy®!

🩷 HMHB client testimonials on the importance of blood pressure monitoring during and after pregnancy supported AHAs legislative advocacy efforts leading to a legislative win!

💙 SB736 was passed, securing Medicaid coverage for home blood pressure monitors and cuffs to pregnant and postpartum women at risk of or diagnosed with hypertension.

💛 Access to the supplies and education needed to monitor blood pressure in the perinatal period can be life-saving. We are grateful for the opportunity to advocate on behalf on the women we serve and work with our community partners who are also passionate about supporting maternal health!

As National Breastfeeding Month comes to a close, we’re celebrating stories like Avila’s.
With the education and support she received in CenteringPregnancy® she was able to successfully breastfeed for the first time.

Her testimony is a powerful reminder that support isn’t a luxury, and it’s not just for first time moms. Support is part of a healthy pregnancy.
