OFF To Work to educate my patients about shoes — because your feet are begging you to read this. 👟
Rule 1: If you can twist your shoe like a wet towel, it’s not giving your foot enough support (and your feet know it).
Rule 2: “Broken in” should not mean “worn out.” If the tread’s smooth or the cushioning’s flat, it’s time to retire them — usually around 300-500 miles for athletic shoes.
Rule 3: Toe box matters more than you think. Your toes should be able to wiggle freely — no scrunching, no overlap.
Your feet carry you through literally everything. Give them shoes that actually have their back (and their arch, and their heel...). 😄
Questions about what’s right for YOUR feet? That’s what we’re here for. Link in bio⬆️
