July is Fibroid Awareness Month 💜

Fibroids are common, but conversations about them often aren't.

Did you know that fibroids affect up to 80% of Black women by age 50? They can cause heavy periods, pelvic pain, frequent urination, and other symptoms that can impact everyday life. Yet many people don't realize what they're experiencing isn't something they simply have to "live with."

This Fibroid Awareness Month, we're encouraging you to:
💜 Learn the signs and symptoms
💜 Know your family history
💜 Listen to your body
💜 Talk to a healthcare provider if something doesn't feel right

Early conversations can lead to earlier diagnosis and more treatment options.

Breaking myths starts with having better conversations. 💚

This Disability Pride Month, we're challenging harmful misconceptions about disability and sexual health because everyone deserves access to accurate information, compassionate care, and the resources to make informed choices.

Disability does not define a person's relationships, sexuality, or right to quality healthcare. Sexual health education, HIV and STI prevention, testing, and care should be accessible to everyone, without assumptions or stigma.

At Heart to Hand, we believe inclusive healthcare means making sure no one is left out of the conversation.

This National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, we're reminded that mental health deserves the same care, compassion, and attention as physical health.

Many people carry stress, grief, anxiety, or trauma that others may never see. Listening without judgment, checking in on loved ones, and creating safe spaces to talk can make a meaningful difference.

At Heart to Hand, we believe that every community deserves access to care, support, and the opportunity to thrive because mental well-being is an essential part of overall health.
