Adoptions Together and FamilyWorks Together are now Paths for Families! Paths for Families is an adoption and family well-being organization that builds and sustains families and advocates for best practices in the community. For 33 years, we’ve woven human-centered care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed expertise into the lives of more than 15,000 children and families across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Understanding every path is unique, we support family growth and strengthening through education and counseling, infant adoption options, foster care adoption, family-finding, home studies and post-placements, professional and organizational training, and community outreach and support programming. Our vision is that every child will grow and thrive within a caring, supportive family and community:

Meet Elijah with today's Feature! 💜

Elijah is a bright, competitive teen who thrives when he can channel his energy into his passions. This high schooler balances academics with his love for sports, especially basketball and football. A video game enthusiast who also enjoys television, Elijah dreams of one day becoming either a professional basketball player or truck driver.

Though initially reserved, Elijah opens up when comfortable, revealing a vibrant personality and desire to shine. Elijah would flourish in a forever home with strong advocates who can provide structure, patience, and unconditional love.
