If you’re deciding on getting a breast augmentation, there are a few different options in front of you to choose from. There’s the traditional silicone implant, the saline implant, and the newer gummy bear implant. Here we’re taking a closer look at the gummy bear implant and saline implant. Saline implants are a shell of silicone and filled with sterile salt water either before or during surgery. Because of the natural fluid, they are safe to use even if ruptured.

Gummy Bear implants are a bit different. They have a more natural-looking, teardrop shape that women love. And instead of being filled with fluid, they are actually in a more solid state. If you cut straight into one, you would find it cuts just like a gummy bear, which is why it has the name! Due to this strength, it is less likely to rupture and is considered safer compared to alternatives.
