Earlier this month, The Waters of Greencastle brought Puerto Rico to our facility with a festive Fiesta!

The fun included a game of “Find the Hot Pepper,” with peppers hidden throughout the dining room for residents to hunt down. There were plenty of laughs—and some serious searching! 🌶️🔍

The day also started on an extra-special note thanks to our thoughtful community friend, Jane J., who stopped by with gifts of hygiene products for our residents. We’re so grateful for the kindness of community members who continue to think of our residents and find ways to brighten their days.

Good food, fun games, generosity, and great company made for a fiesta worth celebrating! 🎉

When it’s too hot to be outside, we pivot!

A little heat wasn’t going to stop the fun at The Waters of Greencastle! This week, we brought the croquet course indoors, where our residents enjoyed a little friendly competition without breaking a sweat. 🏑😊

Chris is an Activity Assistant at The Waters of Greencastle, but his willingness to lend a hand goes far beyond the Activities Department. He is always ready to help wherever he is needed and brings plenty of humor and personality along with him!

Our residents and families love Chris’s witty style, and he genuinely enjoys taking the time to get to know each of our residents and what makes them smile. His positive energy and helpful spirit make a difference throughout our community every day.

Smiles like these can only mean one thing… there’s music playing! 🎶😊

Live music is always a resident favorite at The Waters of Greencastle, and we’ve been lucky to enjoy some wonderful performances this month! Residents loved listening to Derek Chastain, as well as a special evening of gospel music with Al & Friends. 🎤🎵

And the evening came with an unexpected encore from nature—a few beautiful deer stopped by the grassy area just outside our patio! 🦌❤️

There’s something special about seeing our residents light up when the music starts. If you have a musical talent and would like to spend some time sharing it with our residents, we’d love to hear from you!

Tiffany is a dedicated LPN who somehow makes juggling life as a new mom, wife, and nurse look easy! She is dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing great care to our residents each and every day.

Her caring nature hasn’t gone unnoticed either—Tiffany has become a favorite among many of our residents and their family members, and we’re so fortunate to have her as part of our team. ❤️

🎡 Step right up… the fun was fair-ly unforgettable at Family Fair Day at The Waters of Greencastle! 🎠🍿

Our facility was buzzing with carnival excitement as residents, families, and friends enjoyed an afternoon packed with games, prizes, fluffy cotton candy, sweet candy apples, fresh popcorn, and refreshing lemon shake-ups. 🍋🍭

The fun didn’t stop there! We topped it all off with fantastic live entertainment from Jak Gibson, keeping everyone smiling, singing along, and making memories together.

Now that’s what we call a blue-ribbon day! 🎟️🏆

We were all shook up for our Sock Hop & ’50s Day at The Waters of Greencastle! 🎵🍦💃

We recently celebrated one of our favorite themed days of the year! Activity Assistant Chris whipped up delicious heart-shaped biscuits with homemade apple butter, residents cooled off with ice cream sundaes, sang their hearts out during karaoke, and spent the day making wonderful memories together.

It was a rockin’ good time full of great food, music, and plenty of smiles!

Last Saturday our residents and staff suited up for a fun-filled Superhero Day, proving that real heroes come in all forms. Their superpowers? Ice cream sandwiches, popsicles, and Bomb Pops, of course! 🍦💥

To make the day even more fun, a few of our heroes even showed off their very own superhero names. It was an afternoon full of smiles, laughter, sweet treats, and heroic fun! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

As the new school year begins, we’re proud to support the families who make The Waters of Greencastle such a special place! 🎒✏️📚

To help our staff prepare for back-to-school season, we provided backpacks filled with school supplies for their children. In total, we were able to help nine students, from grade school through high school, start the school year ready for success.

Wishing all of our students, families, and educators a safe, fun, and successful school year!

We showed our appreciation for our incredible staff with a Walking Taco lunch. A special shoutout to our amazing Activity Assistant, Chris, for preparing the taco meat and taking charge of all the toppings. Thank you, Chris, for helping make the day such a success!

We also welcomed our friends from the local senior center for an afternoon of Bingo. While the rainy weather kept the crowd a little smaller than usual, everyone who joined us enjoyed great company, plenty of laughs, and a fun afternoon together.
