Up and walking again! 🚶‍♀️‍➡️

Ruth was unable to walk or manage her self-care when she arrived at Life Care Center of Greeneville for rehabilitation, but with the help of physical and occupational therapy, she is back on her feet with increased independence. 🎉

👩‍⚕️ Help us congratulate and welcome our new Director of Nursing, Kaci Bays! 👏

🩺 Kaci's nursing career began at Life Care as a Nursing Assistant. Throughout her journey, she has served in nearly every nursing role within our facility. She earned her CNA license and provided direct patient care before returning to school to become an LPN and later an RN. We have been fortunate to have Kaci serve as a Unit Manager, Wound Care Nurse, and Assistant Director of Nursing before her promotion to Director of Nursing.

Her dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our residents, families, and staff. Please join us in congratulating Kaci on this well-deserved achievement and wishing her continued success in her new role! 🎉

💐🫖 We kicked off National Skilled Nursing Care Week with our Annual Mother's Day Tea on Sunday, May 10th.

Hosted by our esteemed Activities team, our mothers were served a spread of finger foods, deserts and drinks. This event is a family favorite and a time of celebration to thank Mom for all she has done for us! We look forward to what the rest of the week holds! 🌺

For Nurses Week Day 3, we celebrated our nurses with a sweet treat bar and coffee. ☕🥐 We also handed out door prizes to our nurses. The winners of the door prizes were Jemery Carter, our Birch unit manager, and Gina Sacrano, one of our floor nurses. Thank you to all our nurses for all that you do and always staying sweet as candy! 🍬 We would like to say a special thank-you to our local bakery Peggy Ann Bakery in Greeneville for the pastry tray and treats, and to Catalyst Coffee Company for the coffee!

💐 Each year, we set aside a special week to celebrate our amazing residents and associates and the role that skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities play in senior care.

We care for those who cannot care for themselves. We help rehab patients recover from illness or injury. And we do it all in a series of many moments... ☺️

From assisting a resident with getting dressed in the morning to providing meals, activities, medication administration, help with activities of daily living, and therapy as appropriate, our associates work together to create a full experience of care.
