We never know what this holiday means to others. Whether joyous or complex, let’s celebrate in the ways that help us, support us, encourage us and bring more nurturing loving kindness to those around us.

For me, I will be remembering my own mom who taught me how to love, how to laugh through tough things, how to advocate, how to have empathy, and how to cherish a beautiful sunset.

We see you, we thank you, we acknowledge the Mothers who get to celebrate with their children, mothers who get to ask to be pampered for the day, mothers who have to grieve, mothers who worry about their adult children, invisible mothers who struggle with infertility, mothers who have stepped in to love a child, mothers who’s role is minimized, unsupported mothers, and to the children who have lost their mothers, children who have been hurt by mothers and any other circumstance you may be reminded of on this day.
