Sometimes the best days are the slow ones. 💕

Big brother is off making memories with his friends, so my mini me and I are soaking up some much-needed mommy-and-daughter time. 🥹✨

As a doula, I spend so much of my time pouring into other families. Today, I’m pouring back into my own. Whether it’s a snack date, giggles, cuddles, or simply being present, these little moments become the memories our children carry forever.

Here’s your reminder, mama: Rest. Play. Be present. Your family deserves you, too. 💛

Today was filled with a little extra love. 💕📦

Stopped by the post office to mail special care packages to some of our Village Sis Doula families who are out of town. While miles may separate us, our commitment to supporting, encouraging, and celebrating our families never changes.

Every package is thoughtfully prepared with love because every mother deserves to feel seen, supported, and cared for—no matter where she lives.

I left a conversation with my mentor today carrying something far more valuable than a business strategy.

As we talked about my journey from corporate America to full-time entrepreneur, I found myself reflecting on the invisible weight so many Black women carry.

The pressure to always perform.
To always achieve.
To always be available.
To always prove that we deserve to be in the room.

That pressure has a cost.
It’s called burnout.
It’s called weathering.
And too many of us have been conditioned to wear it like a badge of honor.

Then my mentor gently reminded me…

“What if success looked like listening to your body?”

Go to the bathroom when you need to.
Eat before you’re starving.
Pause long enough to take a deep breath.
Look up at the clouds.
Let the sun touch your face.

Those aren’t luxuries.
They’re reminders that you’re alive.

As I continue building Village Sis Doula, I’m realizing that I don’t want to create a business that requires me to abandon myself. I want to build something that allows me—and the families I serve—to experience wellness, not just survival.

Maybe today isn’t about getting one more thing done.
Maybe today is about remembering that you deserve the same compassion you so freely give everyone else.

Here’s to choosing presence over pressure.
Healing over hustling.
And humanity over unrealistic expectations.

We were all ready to head to fitness, and baby girl decided she absolutely needed to put on her pink wig before we could leave the house. 💗👛✨

Motherhood keeps me laughing, keeps me humble, and reminds me that sometimes the best memories happen in the little moments. We still made it to fitness, pink wig and all! 💪🏾

Today my little girl made sure I stayed on task, took my “assignments” seriously, and followed all of her very important instructions. Apparently, after supporting so many moms and babies, it was my turn to be the student. 💖

Motherhood has a beautiful way of reminding us that our children are some of our greatest teachers. They teach us to slow down, laugh more, stay present, and see the world through eyes full of wonder.

Today’s lesson? Joy is productive too. 🌸
