The numbers are clear: Unvaccinated patients represent the vast majority of COVID-19 hospitalizations at Cone Health. COVID-19 vaccines help prevent severe illness, and they're both effective and safe. Today, the FDA gave full approval to the Pfizer vaccine.

“This action clearly shows that the vaccine meets the high safety and effectiveness standards of the FDA,” says Dr. Cynthia Snider, infection prevention, Cone Health. “For many, this is the moment they have been waiting for, to feel confident in receiving the vaccine. We enthusiastically urge them to get vaccinated as soon as possible.”
