🧠 THIS is why therapy matters.
See those tiny branches reaching toward another brain cell? That’s a brain building connections from one brain cell to another.
When a child learns a new speech, language, or communication skill, the brain begins creating and strengthening pathways for that skill.
The key? Repetition. 🔁
Therapy helps teach the brain the new skill.
Practice throughout the week helps strengthen the pathway so the skill becomes easier and more automatic.
But the brain also follows a “use it or lose it” principle. Connections that are used frequently become stronger, while connections that aren’t used may weaken or be pruned away.
Therapy starts the connection.
Repetition makes it stronger. 🧠✨
