Some activities are calm... This was not one of them. 🤣

Residents got the chance to pie a few brave team members, and it was exactly as fun as it sounds.

A little laughter, a little whipped cream, and a lot of good sports all around! 🄧

The 80s called... We answered! šŸŖ©šŸ•ŗšŸ»āœØšŸ’æ

The music, the colors, the outfits, the memories. It all came together for a fun throwback afternoon that gave residents something a little different to enjoy.

Theme days are always a favourite because they bring out stories, songs, and plenty of ā€œI remember whenā€¦ā€ moments.

Our Garden Club has been getting outside, getting hands in the soil, and bringing a little more life to the season! 🌿

There’s something grounding about gardening. It’s calm, familiar, and gives residents a chance to be part of something that keeps growing after the activity is over.

Fresh air, conversation, sunshine, and a few plants that now have very dedicated caretakers.

Caring for someone living with memory loss often changes the way we think about communication.

What feels natural in everyday conversation can sometimes create frustration, confusion, or anxiety for someone experiencing cognitive decline.

Small shifts in language can make a meaningful difference.

Not because there’s a perfect script, but because the goal is rarely to correct someone.

The goal is to help them feel understood, supported, and safe.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, so we’ll be sharing more memory care tips throughout the month to help families better understand and support their loved ones.

Our Memorial Day gathering gave residents a chance to spend time together, share a meal, and mark the day as a community.

While the afternoon included food and celebration, the meaning of the day was not lost.

Memorial Day is a time to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country, and we were grateful to pause, reflect, and share the day together.

A meaningful afternoon with good company and a lot of gratitude. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Birthday parties are already special.

Add Jack Nicora and DJ Mike, and suddenly it becomes the kind of afternoon people keep talking about.

Music has a way of filling the room, bringing back familiar songs, and making a celebration feel even more personal. šŸŽ¶

A big thank you to Jack and DJ Mike for helping us celebrate our residents and making the day feel full of energy, music, and connection!

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month.

One thing memory care teaches you quickly is that care cannot be one-size-fits-all.

The same diagnosis can look very different from one person to the next.

Some days require routine. Some require redirection. Some require quiet. Some require flexibility.

That is why understanding matters.

Not just understanding the disease, but understanding the person living with it.

The goal is not to make every day perfect. It is to make each day feel safer, calmer, and more human.

Live music doesn’t have to be loud or high energy to make an impact šŸŽ¶

Sometimes it’s just about hearing a familiar song and enjoying the moment.

These are the kinds of activities residents look forward to most.

When most people tour senior living communities, they focus on the rooms, the dining area, and the activity calendar. Those things matter, but there are a few other questions that are just as important to ask.

Understanding how a community communicates with families, handles emergencies, and supports residents as their needs change can make all the difference when making a decision.

Asking the right questions can make a big difference when choosing the right community for yourself or a loved one.

A tour isn’t just about what you see, it’s about what you learn. 🧔
