We’re celebrating Ben Stratton on completing his internship at Redstone! Ben is a student at Saint Vincent College where he is pursuing a major in Corporate Finance with a minor in Accounting. He plans to graduate in spring 2028.

Ben’s time at Redstone has given him an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience as he prepares for a career in finance. We’re also proud to recognize Ben as the recipient of the John R. Dickson IV Scholarship, a $5,000 award supporting his continued education.

Congratulations, Ben! We’re proud to be a part of your journey and look forward to seeing all you accomplish! 👏

We have learned that here in Western Pennsylvania, it’s hard to compete with the “Friday Night Lights” of high school football. Ticket sales for our Night at the Races were very low, and we heard from many of you that Friday nights in the fall are really bad due to family schedules. So we are working with Gianellis to come up with a date in January, during a time of the year when we tend to be less active.

If you purchased tickets, you will receive a refund. If you committed to a sponsorship, we will be in touch individually to ask if you would be willing to let us carry your sponsorship over into the rescheduled event. We are grateful for these sponsorships!

We hope that when a new date is found you will invite your family and friends and plan to attend this fun event. All funds raised will benefit the HOPE Program, which is essential in supporting our ability to provide no interest loans and free grants to employees who find themselves in crisis situations. Over the past months we have provided support for an employee’s funeral, helped with unexpected car expenses after an employee hit a deer, helped get a new safe apartment for someone living in an unsafe situation, and other situations.

We’ll let you know when that new date is as soon as possible.

This week, Redstone Goes Trips & Tours is heading to the Benedum Center to experience the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Suffs—and there's a special Redstone connection.

Last week Redstone again hosted a Youth Healthcare Institute to invite students in middle and high school to explore career pathways related to senior care. The students enjoyed engaging with residents and team members, became CPR certified, and completed training so that they could become full volunteers at Redstone. We can't wait to see what the future holds for these students!

Redstone Goes Trips and Tours, a program of Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare, is hosting a trip to Sight and Sound Theater to see JOSHUA, on Tuesday, August 18th. The story of Joshua is one of the most redemptive stories of the Bible. The production promises to take the audience on a miraculous journey from the banks of the River Jordan to the towering walls of Jericho for an unforgettable look at this famous Bible story. As always, Sight and Sound will incorporate special effects, live animals, and powerful music in this production. This trip is being offered as a one day opportunity! We will depart the Clubhouse on the Redstone North Huntingdon campus at 7 am, make a brief rest stop halfway, and then arrive at Bird-in-Hand for the lunch buffet and some shopping. We’ll then make our way to the theater for the 3 pm show, where our seats are orchestra level in the middle of the theater. At the conclusion of the show, we will make our way back to Redstone, stopping at the Sideling Hill Service Plaza on the way home to get something to eat on your own. We anticipate arriving back to Redstone by around 10:30 pm.
The cost for this full day, including motorcoach, driver gratuity, smorgasbord lunch, and premiere level orchestra level show ticket is $250 per person. Proceeds will benefit charitable care programs at Redstone. To save your spot for this popular trip, call our reservation line at 724-832-8401 x 3378 and leave a message. Redstone's Wishing Well Team recently made resident Flo's wish come true with a trip to PNC Park to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates. Surrounded by the excitement of game day and the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline, Flo enjoyed a memorable day cheering on The Buccos!
