To celebrate National Creamsicle Day (Aug. 14th.)Our Senior Living residents enjoyed Creamsicle’s for our Frozen Friday Fun Treat in activities yesterday.
Many shared that this brought back memories for them, as it was a favorite treat from their childhood and loved by all!

Susan Stankewich was remembered this week at the Memorial Celebration that was hosted by her dear friend Julie Dunmire. Susan made many new friends here at our Senior Living Community, Newhaven Court at Lindwood.
Amongst the residents, Susan’s closest life long friends, and the team members that cared for her all attended a beautiful luncheon in her remembrance.
Special thank you to Julie for providing this opportunity for all to reminisce and share the memories of Susan and providing the delicious Rizzo’s luncheon, for all the attendees.
This was a beautiful day!

Today was a truly special day💜🦋

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the families and friends who joined us for our butterfly release ceremony today. Seeing so many familiar faces brought back wonderful memories of your loved ones and reminded us just how much we have missed each and every one of you.

A very special thank you to Penn Hospice for hosting this beautiful event, providing the delicious food, and creating such a lovely atmosphere with the beautiful decorations.

We also want to give a huge thank you to Amber Ritenour and her team for sharing their homemade pasta and potato salad, along with the delicious desserts. Your generosity and thoughtfulness helped make today even more meaningful.

Sometimes, we become so busy moving forward that we forget to pause. Today gave us the opportunity to slow down, reflect, and remember the beautiful lives and cherished memories of those who may no longer be with us, but who will always live on in our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared a memory, shed a tear, smiled, and helped make today so special. We are grateful for each of you. 🦋💜

First up, meet our Executive Operations Officer - Lori Grant!

"I have been fortunate to call this community home for the past 16 years, and I truly cannot imagine doing anything else.
I oversee the day-to-day operations. I am surrounded by dedicated coworkers who care deeply about what they do, and I get to build wonderful relationships with the Residents and families we serve. I enjoy tackling challenges, thinking outside the box, and finding solutions. For me, Newhaven Court at Lindwood isn't just where I work - it is where my heart is. When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my husband, Josh, and our 13-year-old son, Jackson, who is my world. I love being outdoors and enjoy fishing, working out, hikes, finding four-leaf clovers, and exploring nature on our property".

Our Senior Living residents enjoyed a delicious Banana Split during our Frozen Friday in Activities this past week. With such a great turnout, we talked about the history of the Banana Split, how it all started at its birthplace not far from here, at Stickler’s Drug Store formerly located in downtown Latrobe, Pa. Although the building had been demolished due to deterioration and no longer exists, you can still find the Historical Marker and the Famous Banana Split Statue at its Birthplace!
