🌱 What is Developmental Therapy?
Developmental Therapy (DT) is a unique service offered through Indiana’s First Steps program that supports a child’s overall development through play, everyday routines, and family coaching.
Unlike therapies that focus on one specific area, developmental therapists take a whole-child approach, helping children build skills across multiple developmental areas, including problem solving, learning, communication, motor skills, social-emotional development, and independence.
Every session is personalized to your child’s strengths, interests, and family’s daily routines because we know children learn best through meaningful everyday experiences.
At Homefront Family Services, our developmental therapists partner with families to provide practical strategies that help children grow with confidence, one milestone at a time.
Have questions about Developmental Therapy or wonder if your child may benefit from First Steps services? We’d love to help!
