💬 “NO” is communication too!

For nonspeaking and minimally speaking children, having access to the word “NO” on their AAC device is incredibly important. ❤️

Being able to say “no” gives a child the power to:
✨ Refuse something they don’t want
✨ Set boundaries
✨ Tell us when something hurts or feels uncomfortable
✨ Make choices and have control over their own body
✨ Communicate preferences and opinions
✨ Advocate for themselves

We often celebrate words like more, want, go, and help—but “no” deserves just as much attention.

AAC isn’t just about requesting. It’s about giving children a voice, autonomy, and a way to participate in the world around them. 🗣️💙

And remember: When a child says “NO,” our job is to listen.

Songs help children build language through repetition, rhythm, movement, and play. They encourage new words, speech sounds, turn-taking, and communication—all while kids are having a great time!
