September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜

You never really know what someone may be carrying behind a smile, a busy schedule, or a simple “I’m fine.”

This month, we want to encourage our community to check on one another a little more often.

Call the friend you haven’t heard from.
Sit with someone who seems overwhelmed.
Ask the question twice.
Listen without immediately trying to fix everything.

Sometimes being present can make a bigger difference than we realize.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available 24 hours a day. Call or text **988** to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and connect with a trained crisis counselor.

At RMCCA, we believe mental health matters, every life has value, and no one should have to face their hardest moments alone.

💗 A Little Appreciation for Our Self-Recovery Team!

Today, we want to recognize the wonderful Self-Recovery team right here at Regional Medical Center of Central Alabama!

Self-Recovery partners with RMCCA to provide hospital-based, medically supervised detox services for individuals taking an important first step toward recovery.

Their team brings compassion, encouragement and support to people during what can be one of the most difficult and vulnerable times in their lives. We are thankful to have them here in our hospital and appreciate the work they do each day for our patients and our community.
