Had an awesome meeting with Blake, the manager at Greenville Yoga! šŸ™Œ

One of the best parts of building connections in our community is finding ways to share the love!

I’m excited to pass along FREE class passes to my clients and others who want to give Greenville Yoga a try! šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļøā¤ļø

Whether you’re looking to try something new, get moving, or take a little time for yourself, this is a great opportunity to check them out.

Love seeing local businesses connect and find ways to support each other. More good things to come! šŸ¤

Ever look at someone’s pain and think, ā€œHuh… that’s an interesting one.ā€ šŸ¤”

Pain isn’t always as straightforward as it seems. Sometimes the source isn’t where the symptoms show up, and figuring out what’s actually going on can leave you making some pretty perplexed faces. šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«šŸ§

You investigate, connect the dots, look beyond the obvious… and finally…

ā€œHave you tried clamshells?ā€ šŸ˜‚šŸš

But seriously… sometimes the answer is simple. And sometimes, there’s a lot more to the story.

At Body Evolution, we look beyond the obvious to help you figure out what your body is trying to tell you.

What happens when things start moving again? šŸ‘€

Sometimes the body gives you signs that something is changing—and they aren’t always what you expected.

After a session, one patient noticed:

🧠 A brief period of anxiety
🩸 The return of her menstrual cycle after being absent
āš”ļø Changes in energy and how she felt overall

These aren’t necessarily expected responses for everyone—but they’re not unheard of either.

When we work with circulation, fluid movement, the nervous system, and tissues that haven’t been moving or functioning optimally, the response isn’t always limited to the area being treated.

And that’s the interesting part.

Your body doesn’t work in isolated parts.

Sometimes you change one piece and your body starts responding somewhere completely different. šŸ”„

That’s why I don’t just ask, ā€œIs your pain better?ā€

I want to know:

What changed?
What feels different?
What started moving?

Because sometimes the most interesting sign that your body is changing...

isn’t the symptom you came in with. šŸ‘€

There’s nothing better than hearing that the approach not only helped, but also gave someone a better understanding of their own body. šŸ™Œ

I’m incredibly grateful for clients who trust me to think outside the box, ask questions, and work through the ā€œwhyā€ behind their symptoms.

And being called a good teacher? That one means a lot. Helping people understand what’s happening in their body is a huge part of what I do.

Thank you for the kind words and recommendation! šŸ™

To everyone else, this probably looks like complete gibberish. šŸ˜‚

To me? It’s a bunch of clues.

This notebook is filled with thoughts, connections, anatomy, movement patterns, and questions that are helping me work through a patient’s mysterious foot tingling.

Sometimes the symptom isn’t necessarily where the problem starts.

That tingling in the foot might actually be connected to something happening somewhere else in the system — and figuring out why it’s happening is the fun part.

The scribbles may look like nonsense…

…but there’s a method to the madness. 🧠🦶

5 years of chronic sciatica. Multiple rounds of PT and sports therapy. Little to no change.

Then she found Body Evolution.

Stories like this are why I take a different approach to chronic pain. Sometimes the answer isn’t simply treating the area that hurts—it’s taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture.

Really grateful for Michele’s trust and for her willingness to keep searching for answers. šŸ™

A little about me…

I’m basically Jack Johnson vibes…until Metallica comes on in the van. šŸ˜‚

I’m a PT, a lifelong learner, a little obsessed with figuring out why people hurt, and probably spend way too much time researching things most people don’t think about.

I’m also a big believer that you shouldn’t have to put on a ā€œprofessionalā€ personality to be good at what you do.

What you see is what you get.

I am my brand. And Body Evolution is an extension of who I am, how I think, and how I want to help people.

Oh…and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll get Jack Johnson playing during your session. But if you so choose, we can absolutely crank up the heavy metal and rock out. 🤘

Tuesday night research update. šŸ“š

Tonight’s topic: rethinking chronic somatic and visceral dysfunction.

The more I learn, the more I realize how important it is to look beyond the obvious source of pain. The musculoskeletal system doesn’t work in isolation, and sometimes the tissues that hurt aren’t the only part of the story.

Always digging deeper, questioning what we think we know, and looking for better ways to understand complex pain and dysfunction.

That’s the work. šŸ”Ž

Really appreciate this review and the kind words. šŸ™

One of the biggest reasons I started Body Evolution was because I felt there was more to chronic pain than simply treating the painful area.

I’ve spent a lot of time learning different approaches and trying to better understand the whole picture—not because there’s one magic answer, but because every person and every problem is different.

Reviews like this mean a lot, especially when someone recognizes the effort that goes into continually learning and trying to do better.
