Happy four-year work anniversary to Dr. Khan! šŸŽ‰

Dr. Khan is always up for a challenge—whether she’s traveling with absolutely no itinerary and turning it into the best vacation, or taking on a brand-new EMR system and rocking it like a boss!

When she isn’t caring for patients, she loves spending time with her children and making homemade ice cream together. We’re so thankful for the knowledge, flexibility, and positive spirit Dr. Khan has brought to CHS over the past four years. Happy anniversary! šŸ’œ

This week, our team got to enjoy a s’mores bar as part of our employee appreciation! We’re incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and hard work our employees bring to CHS each and every day.

We’re wrapping up Children’s Eye Health & Safety Month with a very special patient spotlight! šŸ‘“

Meet sweet Icelynn! Her condition was first noticed by her pediatrician during her four-month well visit, leading to a referral to a specialist. At nine months old, Icelynn was diagnosed with Morning Glory Syndrome, a rare condition that affects how the optic nerve is formed and can impact vision.

Now 2 years old, Icelynn’s mom says she typically doesn’t notice anything different about her day-to-day. She may occasionally rub her eyes or stand closer to see things, and she’s been wearing glasses from a young age—which Mom says she ā€œloved from the start!ā€

Icelynn’s mom encourages other parents to ā€œhave a good relationship with your child’s doctors.ā€ Her story is a great reminder of why routine well visits and early identification of potential vision concerns are so important for growing children.

And beyond the glasses, Icelynn is a happy, energetic 2-year-old who loves to sing, dance, and take her favorite Minnie Mouse along wherever she goes. ā¤ļø

We’re so thankful to Icelynn and her family for allowing us to share her story as we close out Children’s Eye Health & Safety Month! šŸ‘€

A few of our staff members’ kids are helping us share an important reminder: eye safety matters for little kids, big kids and everyone in between! šŸ˜Ž

For younger children, sunglasses should be part of the routine anytime they’re outside. They help protect growing eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays, whether you’re headed to the pool, the playground or simply spending the day outdoors.

For older kids and teens who may be working, helping with outdoor projects or using equipment, the right protective eyewear and safety gear are just as important.

No matter their age, remind your children to never look directly at the sun—even while wearing sunglasses. Building these habits early can help protect their eyes for years to come!

We’ve got our eyes on an important topic this month! šŸ‘“

August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month, and our glasses-wearing crew is helping us kick things off. Vision problems aren’t always easy to spot, especially when younger children may not know how to explain what they’re seeing.

Vision screening is an important part of your child’s yearly well visit. CHS can also provide vision testing for infants and children who aren’t able to complete a standard eye exam. Ask your provider for more information at your next visit!

And as these two can tell you, glasses can be a pretty great look, too. šŸ˜Ž

A little Friday fun from our 10th Street crew šŸ˜‚

We promise we get plenty of work done around here… but sometimes you have to make time for a little fun, too! šŸ’œ

Hope this gives you a laugh heading into the weekend!

Happy two-year work anniversary to Kaitlyn Finch! šŸŽ‰

Kaitlyn is an important part of our team, helping keep things running smoothly at the front desk and in medical records. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and little boy, Ryker, playing with her dogs, and soaking up the sunshine whenever she can.

Kaitlyn is also expecting her second baby—a little girl—very soon! We’re so thankful for everything she has brought to CHS over the past two years and can’t wait to watch her family grow. Happy anniversary, Kaitlyn! šŸ’œ
