On Sunday, we honored 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵 for her 𝟱𝟬+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 at RBC.

During that time, the world has changed from…
8-track tapes to Spotify.
Rotary phones to FaceTime.
Encyclopedias to Google.
VHS tapes to Netflix.
Handwritten letters to texting with emojis.
Maps in the glove compartment to GPS in your pocket.
Saturday morning cartoons to YouTube.
Pay phones to phones that can do practically everything except stay charged.
Waiting for film to be developed to taking 47 pictures before choosing one.
Dial-up internet to Wi-Fi everywhere.
“Be home before dark” to parents tracking their kids on their phones.
The original Star Wars to an entire Star Wars universe.

But through it all, one thing has never changed: 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀, Mrs. Lynch has welcomed generations of little ones with a smile, a Bible story, a craft, and of course, a healthy snack, week in and week out.

She has taught children who became parents… and then taught their children. ❤️

She has celebrated birthdays, comforted tears, answered a million kindergarten questions, and somehow made sitting still for a Bible lesson seem almost possible.

But her greatest legacy isn't measured in years.
𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Generation after generation has heard about Jesus because one faithful woman kept showing up—Sunday after Sunday, year after year—to plant seeds of faith in little hearts.

𝟱𝟬+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻. 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 “𝘆𝗲𝘀” 𝘁𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀.

We are so grateful for you, 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵! Thank you for loving our children, serving our church, and reminding us that no matter how much the world changes, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

That’s my Mom!

If you’ve been around Ridgecrest for any amount of time, chances are you’ve crossed paths with 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵.

For 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝟱𝟬 years—yes, 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘. 𝗭𝗘𝗥𝗢.—she has faithfully shown up on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights to pour into the next generation. While many have come and gone (and some… let’s be honest… fizzled out 😅), Mrs. Lynch has remained 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱’𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱.

Generation after generation has sat under her teaching.
Lives have been shaped.
Seeds have been planted.
And the impact? Eternal.

Now… a lot of people have wondered:
“How has she done it?”
“How has she stayed so strong all these years?”

Well… the secret might finally be out… 👀

💥 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘄𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸. 💥

We’re kidding (kind of)… but what you’re really seeing is strength that comes from a lifetime of faithfulness to the Lord. The kind of strength that doesn’t quit. The kind that keeps showing up. The kind that 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴.

Mrs. Lynch, thank you for being a living example of what it looks like to endure, to serve, and to love well. Ridgecrest is better because of you—and so are countless kids (and now adults) who call this place home.
