There’s some good news to share this Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

Our Upstate 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline call center has been reaccredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) for another three-year term.

But accreditation isn’t just a plaque on the wall. It reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, training, and compassionate crisis support for every person who reaches out to 988.

And su***de prevention is about more than a phone number. Through 988, Survivors of Su***de Loss support, QPR training, and community education, we’re working every day to strengthen connections and help save lives.

Strength begins with connection—and sometimes that connection is simply knowing where to turn.

We’re proud to support our friends at The Phoenix Center and the work they’re doing to make life-saving resources like free Narcan accessible to our community.

Overdose deaths may be declining, but every life still matters. And when substance use affects an individual, it can affect an entire family. Having access to information, resources, and support can help people take that first step toward connection and help.

Take a moment to learn more about The Phoenix Center’s resources, and share this information with someone who may need it. You never know when the right resource, shared at the right time, might help save a life.

In light of recent events, we want to extend our thoughts to all loved ones and to anyone who has been impacted by the loss of someone to an overdose.

While overdose deaths in our area have decreased, overdose remains a serious issue in our community and every life matters.

At the Phoenix Center, we believe everyone should have access to the tools that can help save a life. We offer FREE Narcan to community members.
