Well, the ink is officially dry on some of those "upcoming collaborations" I teased yesterday! ✨

I am incredibly honored to announce that I have been invited to join the official Girls Who Hike - SC team as a guest facilitator for their upcoming 2026 GWHSC Retreat Weekend!

I will be facilitating two special sessions of "The Nature Connection: Regulating Your Nervous System & Bonding in the Wild" for their members. This topic aligns so deeply with everything I believe about well-being, community, and the healing power of the outdoors.

Girls Who Hike is a passionate, volunteer-led community of women who genuinely live and breathe this mission every single day. The synergy is unmatched, and I cannot wait to fully immerse myself in the retreat weekend with their group.

This is exactly why I am shifting my focus this summer to make space for high-impact, deeply aligned organizational partnerships just like this one.

A little life & business update! ☀️

I am taking a mini-sabbatical from guiding public events after July 1st to pour my energy into my corporate wellness programs and 1:1 coaching clients.

I recently completed the WhealthyU® Workplace Well-Being 360° Coach Training with Ellen Kocher, an experience that deepened my approach to designing practical, evidence-informed workplace wellness programs.

This training focused on workplace well-being strategy, stress resilience, sleep, movement, nutrition, behavior change, group facilitation, and program delivery in real organizational settings.

It’s been meaningful to expand my work in this direction, especially at a time when so many teams are navigating high demands, cognitive fatigue, and the need for more sustainable ways of working.

Can tracking your sleep actually make sleep worse?

I was recently talking about the connection between sleep and stress during a workplace wellness presentation when someone asked me about sleep trackers.

Sleep trackers can be helpful tools, but there's actually a term called Orthosomnia, which is the pursuit of "perfect sleep" based on wearable data.

I've seen people become so focused on improving their sleep score that they end up feeling more stressed about sleep than before.

A sleep tracker can provide useful information, but it doesn't always tell the full story. Sometimes the most important questions are:

✨ Do you feel rested when you wake up?
✨ Is your energy improving?
✨ Do you feel more resilient during the day?

Your body often knows more than your sleep score.

I’m excited to share that I’ve completed advanced professional training in Somatic & Trauma-Informed Yoga.

This training deepened my understanding of nervous system regulation, embodied movement, and trauma-sensitive practices, and how these approaches can be integrated into wellness programs, coaching, and yoga instruction.

Over the past 17+ years, I’ve seen how stress can influence energy, digestion, sleep, mood, and overall well-being.

This training reinforces something I’ve long observed: sustainable change happens when we support both the body and the nervous system.

I’m looking forward to bringing these insights into my Nourish & Calm Method, my nutrition practice, workplace wellness programs, and future retreats.

Continued learning is one of the ways I strive to better support the individuals and organizations I serve. 💗
