Sunday is wonderful. The family drives down, everybody crowds around her table, and she laughs until she has to wipe her eyes.

Then Wednesday comes. Somebody calls and asks what she had for dinner. “Oh, just a sandwich.” Same as Monday. Same as Tuesday.

It was never that she couldn't manage. It was the quiet in between the visits.

Most families talk about assisted living for a year or two before they do anything about it. Every time it comes up, someone says “not yet.” What that usually means is that nobody wants to be the one to say it out loud.

Things get interesting around Country Place Senior Living on Game Day! We’ve got Auburn fans, Alabama fans, South Alabama fans, and Nebraska fans all under one roof! 🧡🤍❤️💙

There may be some friendly trash talk, a few “Did you SEE that?!” moments, and definitely some cheering from opposite sides of the room! 😂

🎶🍦 Our Inaugural CPSL Greenville Family Night was a hit! 🍦🎶

What better way to kick off our very first CPSL Greenville Monthly Family Night than with a good old-fashioned 1950s-style Ice Cream Soda Shoppe Social in celebration of National Elvis Week! 🕺💙

We were all shook up with excitement to see so many of our wonderful family members join us for an evening filled with sweet treats, laughter, music, dancing, and plenty of fun! 🍨🥤🎶

We were ready to twist, shout, and rock the night away in our blue suede shoes! 💙👞 And, of course, Elvis would have been proud! 😉

A very special THANK YOU goes to Kathy Pickens, daughter of our sweet resident Glenda Brown, for always spoiling us with such amazing photos! 📸❤️ Kathy has a true gift for capturing the special moments, smiles, and memories that make our CPSL family so special. We are incredibly grateful for her!

Country Place Senior Living of Greenville is transforming into Country Place High School, for National Assisted Living Week, September 13th - September 18th, and we need your help bringing our hallways to life!

Each of our 24 residents’ suites will become a classroom, and every classroom needs its own personalized classroom door decoration.

We are inviting:

* High school students
* Teachers
* School clubs and organizations
* Community groups
* Civic organizations
* Friends and family members

to volunteer their time and creativity by helping our residents design and decorate their classroom doors.

Throughout the week, we’ll be shining through our school years, reliving cherished memories, and celebrating the moments that helped shape our lives.

And what would high school be without graduation?

On Friday, September 18, we’ll host our very own high school graduation ceremony, complete with all the fun, excitement, and celebration that make graduation such a memorable milestone!
