There are plenty of places that can prescribe a weight loss medication. That’s not what makes a successful weight management program.

At Spruce MD, we focus on preserving muscle, improving metabolic health, understanding the root causes that may be contributing to weight gain, and creating a plan that fits your life—not just your prescription.

Our program combines NP-led care, registered dietitian support, advanced testing like DEXA and resting metabolic rate, nutrition, movement, and medication when appropriate.
Because our goal isn’t simply helping you weigh less.
It’s helping you become healthier, stronger, and feel like yourself again.

Perimenopause and menopause are about so much more than hormones.

This transition affects nearly every aspect of health—from energy, sleep, mood, metabolism, and bone health to muscle, pelvic health, cognition, and long-term healthy aging. Yet many women are left navigating these changes with more questions than answers.

Join us for an engaging evening with a multidisciplinary panel of experts who believe women deserve evidence-based care, practical guidance, and honest conversations about midlife health.

Together, we’ll discuss topics including:
〰️Hormone therapy: what’s safe, what’s effective, and who may benefit
〰️Strength training, exercise, and maintaining muscle through midlife
〰️Pelvic floor health, bladder changes, and sexual wellness
〰️Nutrition to support metabolism, bone health, and longevity
〰️Mood, stress, sleep, and mental wellbeing
〰️Practical strategies to help you feel stronger, healthier, and more confident during this transition

Meet the Panel:

Last weekend, the Velo Valet + Spruce MD team participated in the Ride to End Alzheimer’s, covering 255 miles across South Carolina.

Dr. Mary Blankenship and Cynthia Boswell, NP completed the ride while the Spruce MD team volunteered on Day 1 to support riders along the course. It was especially meaningful to share the experience with many of our patients, their family members, and friends who rode, volunteered, donated, and cheered everyone on.

Our team raised $43,000, contributing to an incredible $1.3 million raised by this year’s South Carolina event to support Alzheimer’s research, care, and advocacy.

One of our favorite parts of events like this is connecting with our community outside of the clinic. We’re grateful for every person who supported our team and proud to be part of an event that brings so many people together for an important cause.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend such a success. We’ll see you next year. 💜🚴

“I’ve been told my labs are normal, but I don’t feel normal.”
“I know something is off, but I can’t seem to get answers.”
“I just want someone to listen.”

If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone.

At Spruce MD, we believe your symptoms deserve curiosity, not dismissal. While normal lab work can be reassuring, it doesn’t always tell the whole story. That’s why we take the time to understand your health in context by looking at your history, lifestyle, nutrition, hormones, stress, sleep, and the many factors that influence how you feel.

Our goal isn’t simply to manage symptoms. It’s to help uncover what’s contributing to them and create a personalized plan that supports your long-term health.
