Henry has always dreamed of joining the Air Force. When he went to enlist, he was informed by his recruiting officer that he would not be accepted due to the large holes in his earlobes from wearing gage earrings. He was eager to start his military career, but did not have the finances to fix his ears. Luckily, his recruiter was familiar with Dr. Menachof’s One Day a Month Project — Henry was able to get his ears repaired in no time and at no charge.

Henry said, “Because they helped me with this issue, I can now join the service and begin the next steps of my life, helping others through my military career.”

For the Nu ENT and Face Institute, giving back is a priority — so we deliver free ENT care to our Colorado neighbors in need. During our One Day a Month clinic, an entire day is set aside every month to provide ENT, allergy, hearing loss, and some cosmetic services to patients who cannot afford them. Although we do not receive government subsidies for this work, we have been able to find some great organizations to help provide medication, lab work, and even places to do surgery for these patients.
