Our family has had to go through some major changes this year and it’s really knocked us off our feet. Still trying to navigate through it and learn. It’s been a lonely & very difficult road but we know the Lord is with us. One thing my husband & I learned is we have to get away to get some rest sometimes. We enjoyed a weekend together and we went and saw Ella Langley in concert. We had the best time I will not take these moments for granted.

That’s what the older man at the gym said to me on Friday right before I was going home. He said he knew how hard it is for moms & wives to get time to themselves. I wanted to cry. I thought…. Can he see it in me? It has been months since I have gotten time for just myself to be just by myself. Something that I would prioritize and my family would prioritize for me because they knew how much I needed it. Now I can’t. It’s hard. It meant a lot to me for him to say that. So if you are reading this. I hope you got time for just yourself this weekend.
