Saluda Day Program recently turned its day program into New Orleans and celebrated the famous Mardi Gras with carnival foods, jazz music, and various games. Beads, masks, designer hats, and fancy jewelry were worn by everyone. King Dennis and Queen De'Aerial led the parade. They were thrilled to learn about and taste the traditional Bananas Foster, King's Cake, and other foods and drinks.

Thank you to members of the Emerald City Rotary for helping with our garden project on a recent Saturday. They constructed a flower bed, sealed the picnic tables, erected rails on one of our greenhouses, and installed a patio area for the picnic table.
They continue to help us make sure our garden project is a success.

Burton Center received Youth & Education funding from Greenwood County Community Foundation (GCCF) to assist in the construction and furnishing of three facility areas for new programming, providing a storefront, a bank setting, and a life skills room for hands-on learning environments. This program will fill a critical gap by offering training in financial literacy, social skills, and other life skills. The curriculum will be person-centered and tailored to each individual's goals and needs to build practical abilities, foster personal growth, and enhance self-management. This program will increase self-advocacy and safety awareness, building confidence and boundary-setting skills when navigating public systems.
