Self Regional Healthcare proudly launched its inaugural Summer Nurse Extern Program this year, marking an exciting investment in the future of nursing. The program welcomed its first participant, Autumn Kelley, a nursing student from Clemson University who is expected to graduate in May 2027. Throughout the summer, Autumn gained valuable hands-on clinical experience while working alongside experienced nursing professionals across our organization. The externship was designed to strengthen clinical skills, build confidence, and provide meaningful exposure to the nursing profession in a supportive learning environment. As our first Summer Nurse Extern, Autumn helped lay the foundation for a program that will continue to grow and develop future nursing talent. Self-Regional Healthcare looks forward to expanding this initiative and fostering the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses.
